Would anyone be interested in doing a recipe swap? I LOVE getting new recipes and cooking in general but I was wondering if anyone would want to swap some recipes? I was trying to think of a way to make it fun too.
Digitally: Just swap them via forum or PM
By hand: Making recipe cards and sending them to each other. Maybe even include a dry mix when possible?

So interested?

I just finished sending two recipies out via email because I hostessed Pokeno last night, and different people wanted different recipes of the items I served. Guess that isn't quite a "swap", but it's always fun getting and giving out recipes, I think.

I am hoping to find out if there is interest and then arrange it so it is more of a swap. Either everyone sends out a copy of their recipe to all participants or do it in pairs and everyone sends out a recipe to each other and then also make it so everyone gets a recipe from all?
Not sure how to do it yet. Like I said, I wanted to put a feeler out before I did too much planning lol!

What about a thread chain... someone posts a recipie, and then the next person posts a recipie using one of the ingrediants in the previouse recipie....

I know that if I have to buy a specific ingrediat I'll make a few recipies that include it (well sometimes at least) I think it would be interesting to see which items people chose to piggy back off of
AND everyone will be able to have all the recipies

I voted for "digitally", but if you'd made the poll so we could pick more than one I would have also voted "by hand". Either way could be fun.

Oh yes! That would be awesome! Finding good, quick and yummy recipes, can be a tedious process. I've gotten some really good ones from pot-lucks at work. I like the idea of posting them in a thread. That way, we could pick and choose according to our likes/dislikes, category of dish, style of cooking, etc.

i agree - a thread would be a good idea. none of mine are currently digital, so i'd have to type them in - not a big deal, since i type pretty quickly & have all of my favorite recipes memorized.

Definitely digitally.

I live in Canada and between border patrol and food and drug policy, shipping measured amounts of ingredients would probably not work well for me. But definitely via email or forum.

I've posted some recipes in the past and have also grabbed others that have been posted.

It would be great if there was a separate forum dedicated to recipe exchange. That way we could just look through the forum rather than having to try and search for the recipes or try and keep them in one thread where we have to scroll through page after page.
