What's wrong with my cat's legs?

My cat, Sugar, is almost a year old. When we got her she was a little kitten and we noticed she walked funny but it was never anything serious. As she got older we noticed that she could not run properly or jump at all. We took her to the vet and he told us that she was calcium deficient and that her hind legs must have been discolated when she was being born. He gave us some calcium stuff, but it never helped. A few weeks ago we left on vacation. We just came back today. Her legs are worse than ever. I've never seen her like this. They give out completely when she walks. She'll take a couple of steps and the back half of her will fall and she'll have to pull it up again and keep walking. And now she's been trying to scratch the back of her head for like 10 minutes and occasionally she'll meow and it looks so... weird. Please help me.

If my description wasn't helpful enough, I took a video of her trying to walk and scratch herself. Please watch it and tell me what you think:

almost looks like a pelvis problem? could she have had an accident while you were gone? if you haven't already, you should head straight to a vet [possibly a new one?] & have her checked out - that's definitely not normal.
i had a dog once that became paralyzed from the 'waist' down - happened when the family was away. we never knew how it happened - he basically just dragged his hind legs behind him.

I must be feeling emotional today because that made me cry. Poor dear. I think she needs to see a vet soon. It does look like her legs are a little deformed but maybe it's more serious than that - could be a brain issue? She seemed very wobbly.

We had a cat that either had a stroke or a bad fall while we were gone. He never regained full use of one of his back legs, and eventually died from the damage. You never know.

But your cat looks like it might have some deep-seated neurological problem.

I would see a different vet. How did the vet make the diagnosis of calcium deficient.

That's strange... but the fact that she always had a problem with her legs tells me that might be some degenerative disease... It looks like she is becoming paralyzed. I would go to another vet ASAP... Poor baby
That is so sad...

I would agree with the others...please see your vet or preferrably another asap.

Poor darling, I hope you find your answers.
