It seems like he's had a growth spurt the past week or so. He's now jumping and climbing all over the place. He's still not made it to the top of the counters yet or up to the top of Mark's chair which is the ultimate kitty vantage point in our house. He starts purring when he's laying down and I start talking to him, and really revs up the motor when I start petting him. He also revs up his motor when we put his food down at chow time.
He's comfortable in all areas of our house (except the bathrooms) and he's got free run of the house all the time now. He's such a happy little man. He coos, chirps, and squeaks when playing and he's learned to meow at feeding time.
He's very trusting of the humans now and loves to be where we are. He's entering into the "terrible twos" and tries my patience on a daily basis! It's a good thing he's so darn cute!

Here is a picture of him on July 25th.

Here he is today looking out the front window.

Last night sleeping on the couch next to me.

Taking an afternoon nap in the slumber ball a few days ago.

A close-up a few minutes later.

Ack, he is SO cute!!!
I still can't get over how big his paws are... I predict more growth spurts in the near future.

Yep, he's not an "infant" anymore. He's moved up to "young boy cat" status. He's simply ADORABLE!!!

Has he been around any other "humans" beside you and Mark? How'd that go? I know with Felix, our former feral, he is VERY comfortable with the 3 of us here at home. In fact, he's our most loving kitty. However, when an "outsider" shows up, he heads for the hills and takes quite a bit of time to settle down after the coast is clear again.

Good luck with the next stages. Just wait until he tries to swipe human food out of your mouth, off your plate, etc. My Hannah cat once came running thru the dining room, swiped a tomato wedge out of the salad bowl while we were eating and kept on going. All in the matter of maybe 3 seconds. It's CRAZY, I tell ya!!!!

You should see him strut around the house! He knows how to work it!
He's already trying to jump up on the counter and I know it won't be long til he'll be a real terror.

We've not had any outside interactions with other humans except for when we took him to the vet. That was a scary time for him, poor thing. He was soooo scared! Of course, he'd only been here about 2 weeks and everything was still so new. There are still times he heads for cover when he hears certain sounds, but he doesn't run very far and he comes out when we call him most of the time.

He's filled out around his shoulders and torso so he doesn't look so scrawny anymore, too. He's still tiny, but he's all muscle!
