Do you know anyone who is interested in fostering or adopting in the very near future?
A local rescue who usually pull from the high kill shelter heard about an animal control where the cats were kept in bad conditions and have low adoption rates (not surprisingly given the conditions, I wouldn't walk into this place)
They are trying their best to pull cats from this animal control but still need to help the local high kill shelter too and really need foster homes. They are prepared to drive the foster cats to you, and have a fairly wide area for fosters (they are based in the GTA but I know they have several fosters out of area and this shelter is out of the GTA)
I am linking the photo (click here) showing how these animals are kept because I don't think everyone will want to look at it but you can see they are in old rusted carriers with no space to sit because of the litter box and they are often not cleaned or fed first thing as they have very few staff and they are also the animal control officers
I know most of us have enough going on / enough cats ourselves, but if you know of someone interested in fostering or adopting, PM me and I will give you contact info for the rescue pulling them
