If I had extra money, I would definitely invest in this company or at least in their designs. This is a great idea! Another one of those "ABOUT TIME!!!" inventions and marketing.

Some of this stuff is being worked on in Europe, such as turbines for home and business use, but it just hasn't made it over here yet... and costs too much.

I hope they can make and market affordable solutions. I personally would really like some sort of wind turbine set up, simply for the fact that it's rare that we have a day without wind in Oklahoma.

My ideal dream home would be outside of town, on a few acres, and self supporting utility wise - well water, septic, and wind and sun for electricity. You can't have the big 40+' tall turbines unless you have enough land so that if they come down it doesn't hit anyone elses property. lol

It has been said for at least 20 years that affordable solar power is about 10 years away. The problem, of course, is the cost of the panels, their efficiency, and their longevity.

Someone will, inevitably, find a way to do it. Maybe these are the guys, finally.

There was a few episodes of a show on one of the discovery channels a few weeks ago talking about different types of renewable resources people have been working on. Everything from new batteries to mirrors and steam. One guy had worked on developing a paint that could be used to make solar panels (or was that to make anything into a solar panel?).
