I haven't but what grade is his heart murmur? Did they want to investigate it any further or suggest anything?

If it's just a normal murmur that some kittens have, he should grow out of it with time - meaning it will get better or go away.

2 and 1/2 months and underweight spooks me, though. I have one that I didn't spay till she was a little over 7 months (after her first heat) because she was so small and I wanted her over 5lbs. IMO, wait till this one has the more appropriate weight for his age - ie, 3 months and a little over 3lbs, 4 and a little over 4lbs, etc.
Hopefully he catches up with his siblings and the murmur improves by then.

actually 2 different kittens
one is 9 weeks and 1lb 14 oz hes ok
the murmur is 10 1/2
grade 4/5
was given referral to vet who can do test but its about 500
going to call and at least talk about when he could go in and the actual time frame. at least now not lot of stress at his age cause so young and friendly if i wait afraid he may have more issues being held/worked up

Oh the poor baby. Definitely wait on neutering. Does he have all of his vacs, yet? If not, be careful and only do core one at a time. And if he does, just do your best to keep him healthy.

But you can't stop him from being a kitten, either. If he wants to run and play let him do it. If he likes attention, by all means hold and play with him! Kittens and cats thrive on love and attention from us or their house mates.

I hope you can at least talk with the vet more and that the murmur improves.

Oh neutering is OUT as vet said NO not till it improves/hes seen by the other vet.
It is a clinic i go to as I have to many to go one by one. I dont vac my cats. I know that may be debated here, but it was not taken lightly. so he will never get any. Hes ok just less playfull when i see him-but may be playing at other times as i hear them playing when i am downstairs often.
I am in opnion of quality over quantity so hes free to continue his normal behavior. I have noticed no change from his just starting to walk days till now so thats a good sign in my book(activity level has alway been him laggin a bit but not excessively)

at least my other 8 were ok. the lil one will go to be fixed in week or so and then this one is ip in air. plenty of time and who knows what will happen...thanks for talking

The shelter here just neutered a 12 week old kitten with a severe heart murmur w/o complications, so it can be done.
