Morning folks!

Well we have a sad day at work today. It is the funeral of a close coworkers husband

He died from cancer a few days ago. Everyone is in pieces and the coworker certainly isn't doing well. He was only 61.

So I am doing that today, not sure how long that will be.

Tonight coming home and making dinner for husb and me and relaxing.

It's sunny, but some clouds came over for a few minutes and we had a shower, but now it's brightened up again?!

Leaving the office in just under an hour, then home to do my housework for the weekend

It's kind of dark and dreary this mornng. We're supposed to get some rain.

My last night home alone before DH comes back tomorrow night. I had a great time last night with my SIL and MIL when we went out for dinner; we should do that more often. Tonight I'm having dinner with some GFs; we were going to go to a restaurant, but then I volunteered to cook and everybody thought that would work. So, tequila-lime grilled shrimp over rice pilaf with grilled broccoli, coleslaw with horseradish dressing, some garlic parmesan rolls that I made a couple weeks ago and threw in the freezer and will warm up on the grill, and dessert is a nice (I hope!) lemon meringue tart, courtesy of the Barefoot Contessa. I made that last night. We're planning on having margaritas....yum! Dinner will be at 6:30, if you all want to come! There will be four of us and after dinner, we're going to flop down by the pool and relax for awhile. Should be fun.

Working from home today!

Later this afternoon I'll be going to the shelter as my foster, Filbert, is going home today. So happy!

I just got an urgent call and it looks like I'll be getting another foster kitten, but I'll tell you all more about that later.

I changed up my routine today and instead of an afternoon nap I went back to sleep when I got home from taking BF to work. Ugh it was so gross and foggy out that he was worried about me driving home. Awww a sweet moment..Darn it that means I wont get any for my bday that in a couple weeks...Im waiting for the grass to dry out and then Im going to mow a little and get some house cleaning done. Just another day of putzing around!!

Morning..

Sorry to hear about your co-worker's husband, Nat. Very sad. Last night was supposed to be my 2nd accounting class of the semester, but we got an email from the professor that class would be canceled because her MIL passed away and she had to fly to Phoenix. Sad.

Well I am all alone til tomorrow afternoon. Both BF and mom left me yesterday! Mom to go back home to Pennsylvania, and BF to Florida for work. Last night was my first night alone in the house. I heard many many noises.

But I survived.

This morning we are having some electrical work done, we have a friend who has an electrical business so we know it will be done right and for the right price. So I guess I'm stuck in the house til they're done. I anticipate it being til mid afternoon or so probably. Oh well. I don't really have plans, and I should be studying business law anyway.

Tonight is Hopheads night but I don't think I'm going to go out for it. Our friend Scott (Genever's 'Uncle' Scott) is going to pick up his aerobed we borrowed, and we might go out locally for a beer or 2, as an alternate hopheads outing.

I just got home from going with Russell to IHOP, it was good as usual. Now we are home and are just going to relax the rest of the day, it's nice and cool in here since outside is supposed to hit 90 today, yuck. Russ took off today, him being the boss is a good thing

since he can do whatever he wants.

He just left for the liquor store to pick up the ingredients for making Tom Collins which I love so I figured I'd jump on here and check things out. It should be a nice comfortable afternoon.

Well i have completely wasted my day playin on Blaines PSP on Medieval and he wont lend me the charger

I havent ot much planned for tonight i think we are nipping out for some doughnuts and m and ms yummy

Hi

Its been a busy day today took the kids swimming this morning which was fun, then a bit of shopping and I bought Harvey a new collar and I must say he looks gorgeous. Then home, have done all my cleaning, made tea and just put the kids to bed, hubby and me time now and a bottle of wine
