Hello people,

Haven't been on here in a while but need some help.

My 3 yr old cat was found laying down on Sunday morning in a neighbours drive and I found it strange he wouldn't get up. When I picked him up he slouched again so with this I took him straight to the vet.

Vet x-rayed and found he had taken a blow (car, fall etc) to the pelvis which had moved the back box section up therefore dislocating his legs, tests to all internal organs showed no complications, with this the vet advised surgery to pull the pelvis back and screw it to the spine. All this time the cat has been in perfect health and spritley when we saw him.

However since surgery Sunday night I keep getting mixed reactions from the vet, he is eating and urinating but not poo'ing yet, however when I visited last night he didn't look the same cat compared to the night after the operation when I visited and after just phoning the vets they say he has no feeling in his left hind leg.

Really I just want some advise if anyone has had this done before or knew of past experience what the outcome is likely to be as I am really scared at the moment.
