Picture update:

It's such a horrible time for him to get sick and all this. we have no money at all. ._.

We took his temperature and it's 103.4 rectally.

We got him layed down, he fell asleep sitting up.

can he walk at all? perhaps he has a bad bruise or a sprain of some sort, maybe his leg jammed up when the hamper pushed him down. as for the fever, i'm not sure, but maybe cats can get fevers from stress? or maybe the stress just lowered his immunity and he is sick now as well. i feel terrible for him... just let him rest as much as you can, and the emergency vet definitely should not have said that they 'don't know what you should do' - how unhelpful! do you have any shelters nearby? you could either ask if they could refer you to a reliable, more affordable vet, or in the worse case scenario, you may need to give him up to a [no kill] shelter. they'll take care of him, but you'd only get him back if you re adopt him, unless they're really kind.

You can't just wait for him to get better - that is not only dangerous, but cruel... Please, I know that money is tight, but this cat HAS to see a vet.
Imagine you on his situation: In horrible pain, feeling so sick with a fever, could barelly walk.... and to top it off being deaf and completely dependent on other people...
He is counting on you - please.
I hope you are already at the vet.
The ER vet could not tell you to do anything without seeing the kitty. They really can't tell you what to do over the phone.
Good luck, please keep us posted...

Went and pawned my xbox and ps3 and got 200 for both. My mom's trying to get him a vet appointment.

EDIT: Got him one at 4:20 PM central time.

Will report back after the appointment.

Thank thank you thank you

I wish all cat owners put their babies' needs in such priority like you just did

You just proved yourself to be a wonderful kitty parent, and a great warm-hearted person
. That was a wonderful thing to do...
Please keep us posted, ok?

Alright, there's nothing broken on him. He's just really sick, they gave him some medicine and some appetite stimulators since he hasn't eaten. They said he has a feline virus. I don't remember exactly what it was. FPV or something along that.

Nothing on why his leg was swollen though? Maybe his seizures were due to his high fever.

I'm very glad you got him to another vet. I'm sure it was hard pawning your stuff like that but your cat appreciates it.
I hope he feels better soon.

Many prayers for you and your baby - and bless you for taking him into the vet - did the vet say how to help him fight this off. As I understand it, if it'S FPV that's a serious illness, but cats can survive it. I hope and pray that's the case with your little one.

I know it was extremely hard pawning your stuff but you did the right thing most definitely. Bless you for trying to take care of this cat.

It's a hard thing when money becomes an issue, but there is usually always a way. I hope your kitty gets better. Please keep us updated as we care very much for the welfare of animals here and we all care to know how your kitty is doing.

FPV is parvovirus, or Feline Panleukopenia Virus. Are you sure it is not FHV - feline herpes virus?
The reason why I am asking this is because one of the main symptoms of FPV is vomiting, and bloody or mucous diarrhea.
Also, when you are treating a cat with FPV, you should not feed or give water for that cat for the duration of the illness, as the gastrointestinal tract needs to be protected and diarrhea and vomit prevented. All the feeding and hydration should be done via fluids.
Anyways - I hope it is herpes.

What medicine is he on now?

Wow! I am so impressed that you'd pawn your stuff for your cat. What a wonderful young person you are! Proud of you for doing that.

Hoping that your kitty continues to get better and that the new vet is helpful and will work with you.

Just hoping you all had a good night - and what a wonderful family you are to sacrifice to take care of this little one.

I hope yor cat is feeling better already. I must ask though, is he really a Scottish Fold? I mean does he have registration papers? His face doesn't look like a foldie at all, but it could be the dark picture fooling me. Why I'm asking this is because he could have some bone-issues (all of them doesn't show in the x-ray) if he is from a kitten mill or mixed breed and something is wrong with him. Are his legs and tail ok, he lets you handle them and they aren't sore?
If he is registered, I'd suggest you take a good look into his pedigree, no two folds should ever be mated together.
FHV doesn't cause back pain, or does it?

Just had time to get around to check the boards here. I hope your baby is feeling better. I know what it's like to have a sick cat and no money. I have sold a lot of things to help get the money to send them to the vet. I managed to save up around $300 so far this year that was for vet visits. Smokie used up most of that, and I only have $60 left. So I know what it's like, and none of my possessions are as important to me as my furry angels.

So I hope that your baby is doing better and I'll keep him in my prayers. Sending lots of
