Taking all four of my furbabies in for Rabies Vacs, and general check ups. I'm expecting everything to go well -- other than the fact that it's ALL FOUR going at once.

I'm very very glad that Hubby managed to get off work for an hour to come help me with them. (They actually allowed him time off since Rabies vac proof is needed for crossing state lines. Awesome.)

Wish us luck. Appointment is in 3 hours (9:30).

I could have sworn I posted!

It went well. Kind of.

Prissy was perfectly behaved in her harness, as usual. Smudge was perfectly behaved in the kennel. Ginger has been pretty good an harness lately but *gasp* THE VET! It's the same one she went to when she had that awful wound on her neck so as soon as we got there she freaked out. Cuddles hasn't liked harnesses lately, so I put him in a kennel. Cuddles started rolling and trying to get out as soon as I closed the door.

We got there, they put us in an exam room, and let everyone loose! The shots were over in about 2 seconds. They had 2 techs working with us, so it was great.

As soon as they put Ginger down off the table from her shot, she ran into Cuddles's carrier. She would NOT come out. I tried taking the harness off of her, but she wasn't coming out of that kennel. She literally braced her feet on either side of the door and pulled away. SO I unsnapped the harness blind.
The harness then got WAY adjusted, and put on Cuddles.

Ginger rode home happily as a kennel kitty, and Cuddles rode home semi-happy as a harness kitty. Sometimes, the guys just have to get their own way.

But we're all vaccinated, we're all good to cross state lines, and we all made it without a scratch. The kids were very well behaved.
