Favorite Litter Scooper?

Our scoop has broken and we're in need of a new one. We don't care for the plastic ones at the local pet stores, but are using one out of necessity. What's your favorite scoop and if you purchased it online, please include the link.

Try www.thecatconnection.com. Or google "litter lifter scoop".

It is a great scoop. Long and sleek. It cuts right through the litter box as the tines are not flat. They are turned like blades so it glides through the box.

Also, the sides are low. That way less "drag" is put on the scoop.

I tried ergonomic scoops. Horrible.

Thie litter lifter is great. I bought my son one too. You can get them at Walmart I think. The sites should tell you where to get them. I did not get it online.

I also keep an old paint scraper near their box. When there is a buildup of old litter on it, I just pass the scraper over it and it is again like new.

That is the one I have, and I refuse to use anything else - it is AWESOME!
They sell it at Cat Connection, but they sell at my Pet Supplies Plus As well...

I also love the litter lifter

Here's my favorite: the extra long, Petmate Ultimate Litter Scoop.

I have 8 cats (including two fosters); I've tried lots of scoops and this is the one for me. It's very durable, and long enough to easily get to the bottom of even my 120 quart litter boxes.

didn't purchase online, but it's there - got it @ Petsmart, but the link is for Petco.

I have a Durascoop scooper. http://www.durascoop.com/original.php?productid=1 It's heavy but I was tired of the plastic stuff breaking. It's about 15-20 dollars for it but it's worth the cost to me.

Thanks everyone! The one that we currently like (& have broken both of them) have a large metal grid in the scooper part to help sift out the litter. I don't remember what brand it was, but those things were great!

I use $1 store slotted stainless steel or plastic

I struggled with plastic ones for so long and finally decided to buy a metal one, with a nice rubber grip on the handle. It's SO GREAT. I don't struggle to get the pans clean anymore, though it's somewhat large. I bought it at Petco and I think it was between 10-20 bucks, can't remember. Sometimes it does need to be cleaned, but it's great. Will never go back to plastic. http://www.petco.com/product/106655/...andLitterBoxes

Mine is red handled though. It's great and sturdy! Though the slots are kinda big so sometimes some things slip through

Durascoop. The slots are a little big, so some stuff slips through. It's kind of heavy, but it's durable. I'd broken four plastic ones in a two year time span before purchasing the Durascoop.

I am intrigued by the Litter Lifter. I'll have to try it out.

We went with the DuraScoop. It's worked well so far.
