Flowers! Just for the heck of it. I bought 2 Indian Paint Brush flowers - red and yellow. They are lovely and I feel happy. Do flowers make you happy?

I buy a bouquet of flowers (usually strawflowers and statice) at the farmers market.
I have hundreds of flowers in my gardens but do I cut and bring indoors?? Rarely.
I enjoy them in their natural state!

I do love them, but I can't have them in the house because Trout will eat them and get sick. She can't resist them and I can't do enough to keep her away from them.

DH brings me flowers at work though and I keep them in my office.

It's nice that DH brings you flowers at work. Now, if he brought you a beautiful silk flower bouquet to the house, would Trout try to eat it? lol

Flowers make me very happy. I have tons of flowers in my garden, too, but I never bring a bouquet inside. DH brings flowers home just for the heck of it sometmes, which makes me extremely happy. Of course, I have to put the vase either on a very high shelf--so high that I can't really enjoy them (but then neither can the cats)--or upstairs where I'll only see them going to bed or waking up.

I always buy flowers. I get Carnations for the conservatory and Roses for the kitchen. If i put Carnations in the kitchen Rosie would bite the heads off to play with, so i can keep an eye on her in the conservatory

Butzie does like her roses but she would be very dainty about eating them. She always left the bouquet beautiful. Other flowers? Not interested.

Yes, flowers sure do make me happy - that is - as long as they aren't poison to the cats.

Good for you!!! There is nothing wrong with buying flowers for ourselves!

When I worked in an office I used to send myself flowers to my work once a month with a lovely card! After several months, the girl at the florist started to include her own card wishing me a wonderful week!

I don't have anyone to buy me flowers for any occasion, so every once in a while when I'm shopping I'll pick up some flowers for my dining table. It looks nice, smells nice and most important it brightens my day.

So you go girl!!!
