I have a 5 month old female kitten. She is lethargic, but still eating (wet kitten food mixed with baby food) and kitten milk. She will not eat her dry kitten food. She is voiding (poo and pee), but she just seems very tired. Her paws are a little warm, and she is grooming a little not as much as usual. She mostly just wants to sleep or lay in the bed. I am not sure if I should take her to the vet or not. She seems to be a little stronger than yesterday. Do you think this could just be a virus? She had loose stools on Wednesday, before the baby food. She always gets wet kitten food for breakfast.

I'm not sure why you're still feeding her kitten milk, but she shouldn't need that at 5 mos unless she's got some other issue you've not mentioned. Has she been to the vet recently? Is there any sneezing, stuffy nose, weepy eyes, or is she just "blah"?

I'd keep a close eye on her for sure. I'd probably at least call the vet if nothing else. Sounds like something's definitely going on.

If her paws feel warm, she has a fever. Cat's body temp. is naturally higher than ours, but if her paws or ears feel warmer than you find normal, she has a fever, and I do think you should get her checked out.

I was just giving her kitten milk because she likes it and she drinks it really well. She is also drinking water, but I just didn't want her to get dehydrated. I think I will take her to the vet this evening or tomorrow if I cant get her an appt. My vet is open on sunday. I will keep you updated. No sneezing or runny nose or anything. Just the loose stools...

One other thing it might be is worms or some kind of parasite. Has she been dewormed yet? If not, then you might want to get a stool sample to take with you, if you can.
