Tinker's Eyes

Something strange. This morning tinker came up to me for pets, as usual. I looked at her left eye and there was a layer of mucous over it. I couldn't believe it wasn't driving her nuts. it covers half her eye.

then I noticed it's also present on her right eye. I swear it doesn't seem to bother her, but I'm concerned.

Should I rush her to the vet, or wait until monday when the price is reasonable?

Carefully clean her eye - you can drag the mucus off by very gently wiping at the inside corner of her eye with a damp washcloth. Inspect the eye and eye lids. It could simply be the result of irritation, such as from having gotten a piece of dust or a hair in her eye. If it get's icky again it warrants a vet visit.

Thanks for the reply!

Actually, strangely, it went away??? maybe it was just sleep goo? i don't know. it was awful, but she's perfectly fine now.

as for cleaning her eyes? buhhhhaaa. not happnin with this girl. I can't even touch her face without a sheer panic. let alone get near an eye.

never understood that either. i've never laid a hand of any kind on these guys. they have NEVER been hit, by anyone.

Well I'll keep watching it. Thanks again for replying!

Cats take frequent handling to get used to things. Simply not handling/touching her face is enough to make her more touchy of it. Same with paws.

I bet it was just a hair in her eye. Happens to all of us eventually.
