Lucy's kitten, Linus

I could understand if like most of my shelter foster cats, he had a URI, but he DIDN'T. He was smaller than his 2 brothers but otherwise seemed fine. He just failed to thrive and once again, my heart is broken. It was fairly unexpected... Oh little one I am so, so sorry... Rest in peace sweetheart...

Oh I am so very sorry!

Like some wise people have told me about a stray that adopted us just last month - and we found that he tested positive for leukemia - something to console you is that you took him out of the shelter and gave him loving until his time came - he was loved - and you are so special to have given him this gift.

Very sorry about your loss of sweet Linus. You are a special person to open yourself to grief over and over. But you also open your heart to love.

I am sure he is at the bridge, with all of our bridge kitties basking in the warmth of safety, the fun of play, and the peace of love.

God bless him and you.

I'm so sorry about your loss of little Linus. Some souls are just too sweet and innocent for this world.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. I really don't know how you do it. Isn't he the third of Lucy's babies to cross the bridge? At least they are together. Be with your sisters, sweet Linus

Yes, it is. One was stillborn and the little female died 2 days after being born. Lucy is really still a kitten herself which could have been the problem, aside from the fact that who knows what kind of nutrition/care she had before coming to me. She was only with me a few days before having her babies.

I do it because I still have 2 beautiful seemingly healthy little boys who are thriving and who need me. As much as I SO WISH I could save them all, I know it is out of my control. Thank you all so much for your kind words.
