Not much to report. Today we went to what seemed like a military training camp for veterinarians here in Vienna. The veterinary college is quite world class! It was fabulous! So, Sisu, went to meet with the kitteh neurologist and behaviorist, worldclass well known and respected in their fields internationally. They decided to hold her for 48 hours and they say i should get an update sometime tomorrow so i will ofcourse sit by the phone for the next 48 hours. They are also calling my usual vet for information. Apparently they think my problem child is problemed enough to warrant 48 hour observation and a battery of tests....

She was terrified when she arrived though, poor thing. We had to take 2 trains and a bus to get there. She hated the trip. She will hate the trip home also. Right now i am all nervous incase she plays them and they give her back to me and tell me nothin is wrong with her..... She better not play them or i will be pissed cuz i know the truth she has problems. So, i have no idea what they are going to do with her. Not a clue what tests they will run but i think they want to check her urinary as she lives to piss in our bed. And i know they will find no problem. Because, she doesn't have one with that. She just likes to drop bombs in the bed, thas all it is. terrorist actions, choice. So if anyone knows any of what they will do to her in the next 48 hours i would love to hear about it as i feel horrible leaving her all alone and terrified there but i know this is best for her.

i will update again when i have more information. but please if anyone has any thoughts on what might be going on for her now i would love to know. i feel so terrible just leaving her there.

I am surprised they did not go over what actions they would take with your cat.

I know well of the "Well he/she was doing it at home and now they're not as we're at the vet!" kind of like White Coat Syndrome backwards.

Have no idea what a university or neurology would do with your cat, but hoping for the best and sending vibes.

If it is an extended stay, take an old, thin tee shirt and put it on. Run a few laps, go up and down stairs as much as you can, put on music and dance like a fool, pump up the heat in the house and get it as sweaty as you can. Leave it in her cage and tell the techs to just let it be there and you don't care if you ever see it again. If you want it back, they might not let you leave it. Your scent will comfort her.
