Frontline Flea Spray

Has anyone had experience with it? Vet sold my daughter some to do her 3 little girls, all tortie. They are too young to advantage twice, so this was used. They are about 4 or 5 months old.

I think I scared her, because I had a lot of ???s about it and she ended up giving them a bath the next day because she was so concerned about using it. We have always used advantage, and the thought of spray had us kind of freaked out.

One of the babies kept foaming at the mouth after washing 24 hours later.

Just wondering if anyone has used it and what you guys think.

The one foaming at the mouth probably licked the stuff......I don't like using stuff like that at all. But thats my opinion. I'm not a fan of chemicals at all. I don't like the frontline either but at least that is applied in a spot where they can't really reach it to lick it. The spray obviously can easily be licked as it is applied to the entire body.

That just doesnt sound like an appealing product to me. Im not a fan of flea drops, sprays or powders to begin with. I basically avoid them at all costs when I can. Why I dont know I prefer flea shampoo and just bathing the cats during the really bad flea times and the dogs weekly during flea 'season'. For some reason doing that just gives me more peace of mind than drops.

I hate putting the chemicals on my furkids. Right now, they have not been treated. I am kind of waiting and watching.

They don't go into the grass as their enclosure is about 3 feet off the ground. However, I know fleas jump. Still, I think being off the ground that far may cut down on any fleas.

My daughter is so glad she bathed her little ones. Their names are Mighty, Beefy and Taco. Just the sweetest babies with the cutest name combinations!

Thanks for the input guys.

Frontline doesn't have the reputation for killing cats that Hartz does. Just make sure that permethrin isn't on the ingredients list.

I burned my new adoptee with Hartz the night I got her. Back when I wasn't an expert cat daddy.
