Welp, I am back to work today

Ah well, I have to make a living somehow right? I would rather make a living having a vacation.

It's going to be a hot one today, and maybe some storms.

Morning all!!!

Found out this weekend that from now on my days start at 4:30 AM!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I hate it with a passion but hey love the paychecks, and the fact that BF isnt working for his dad so cant really complain when all I have to do is play taxi service. Hopefully today BF gets off work early enough we are going up to a garage/car lot and looking into 3 Explorers that we both like and a Tiburon to see about replacing my poor decrepit Bertha. If we can replace her this month that would be awesome because we can just get new tags for the new car rather than pay the astronomical fee of transfering her tags over. Not to mention I dont want to pay to have her inspected next month when we are trying to replace her anyways. So fingers crossed that out of these 3 we can get a good deal on one and they arent so badly messed up that we can easily fix one of them up. The one we want bad is $3800 its a newer model 02-08 model needs a transmission but they have it there and the guy is willing to knock down the price is BF puts it in himself plus he has a good relationship with him so he will get a really good deal on it. Its GORGEOUS! Plus we need the SUV for hauling stuff plus our Golden refuses to ride in the car but will ride in an SUV. Goofy dog! Ughhh the dillemmas of owning a vehicle..haha

Another sleepy day here... I didn't sleep too terribly last night, but for some reason I'm still exhausted this morning.

Other than work, no real plans for the day. I'll workout this evening and then Dana and I will probably start watching season 2 of Sons of Anarchy. LOVING that show.

Good Morning.

I think the sun is rising later b/c it's so dark out. I doubt it's going to rain. That means I will be waking in the dark soon.

I would like to give a shout out to my DH who taught DS how to bat a ball. It's just after 7am and I have to BAT THE BALL.

Not sure what to do today. I cleaned almost the whole house yesterday while DS napped. It's too hot for a walk again too.

Morning!

Going to be a hot one again today; I did two miles on the treadmill this morning instead of trying to walk over lunch. I have physical therapy this morning, too.

Crazyforinfo, you had asked about Mollipop yesterday....she's doing OK with that darn collar. But she's getting so tired of wearing it and I think it's depressing her a bit. She can't get into her little hidey-holes with that thing on her and that bugs her, too. I called the vet to possibly have her stitches removed later on this week and they said that since she had laser surgery for her spay, she needs to have the stitches in for exactly 14 days....and she absolutely must wear the collar for the whole two weeks. As soon as we take the collar off, she goes right to her belly, so we feel that we don't have a choice. Even DH said last night that he wants our little girl back playing and romping through the house. She does play with the collar on, but she still bangs into a lot of furniture and such. It's just frustrating. Thank you for asking. She gets the stitches out next Monday.

I guess I thought that laser surgery meant a quicker and easier recovery time, but it sounds like I probably could have had her spay done the regular way and she'd still be OK. And the stitches could have been removed a lot sooner. I wanted to make it as easy as possible on her and I feel badly that it didn't work out that way.

Anyway.......Cajub-rubbed catfish on the grill tonight. With a nice veggie salad on the side. My sister and BIL are coming for dinner, so we'll have dessert tonight, too. I made a lemonade cake last night for tonight. That will work and it will be refreshing after a hot and yucky day.

Going to be in the high 90's here. When it is like that, we just try to stay cool. I am needing to go shopping and spend lots of gift cards I have. I have a Kohl's, Sam's, Belk's and Olive Garden gift card. Don't know if I can talk Hubby into doing that today or not. Have a good one everybody.

It's rainy and gloomy here today. I don't mind because hopefully it will keep the temps down a little bit. We went to my parents yesterday to see their new camper, and just standing outside I was breaking a sweat! YUCK! Give me fall weather

Well, I was just going to go to yoga class and the store. Then I was going to rest and hang out at home because my throat is still a little sore. I spent yesterday in bed so it will be nice to get out.

Morning. Busy week this week, final week of summer classes with 2 exams on Thursday. Still settling in the house, but we got a lot done in the past week! This afternoon we're having some minor electrical work done, and just a bit ago a friend came over to drop off some file cabinets he's getting rid of and we could use. Nice! Free Furniture!

I just found out Genever is kinda ok with strange cats, and not ok at all with dogs. This morning she growled and got the poofy tail when she saw a dog across the street. I never heard her growl in the year and a half we've had her! Last night she was having a staring contest with a cat just outside the sliding glass door! It was dark out so I assumed she was watching a bug out there or something, then I saw this kitty! Eek! No hissing or growling or poofy tail though, but she was very tense. I hope it doesn't come around all the time and bother her...

Anyway, I also have studying to do, and more house chores, so I should get to it soon. Have a good day everyone!

Good evening

Had a kind of crappy day at work, boss was in a crabtastic mood. I went on FB for a second to check a message, and he just happened to see it and got all up my butt about it and asked me what part of only looking at FB on break did I not understand

Considering I never TAKE a break at work because I'm always busting my butt to get things done, spending less than a minute checking something shouldn't be a big deal. Whatever. He got on my co worker as well, who actually left FB up yesterday when he left the room and got big time busted for surfing the internet A LOT, and got it taken away from his computer. Co worker wrote our boss an email back telling him it was ridiculous, that everyone spends 5 minutes of downtime on the internet, including the boss. Which is true, he's always surfing YouTube or internet forums when I look over there.

Meh. I'll just keep to FB on my phone then

Stayed at work until 7:15pm because i felt oddly motivated and figured I should take advantage of it because the closer I get to vaca, the faster the motivation will escape me.

Making a check list of stuff to pack for vaca. Finishing laundry up on Friday so we have adequate clothes for the 2 week trip. Getting excited, now that it is extended to San Pedro, Calif! A true Coast to Coast trip! Plus 2 of our friends from Charleston will be in Vegas with their wives around the time we'll be passing through. Why do I have a feeling it'll turn out like the movie The Hangover

Cant wait to spend some quality fun time with the hubby, since he's always working so hard and earned a break.

Got my grades posted for summer semester, got a 4.0 for the semester and a 3.455 overall GPA (thanks to a D from a totally ridiculous professor who gave no grade higher than a C to anyone all semester!) Got a break this week and next before fall semester starts while i'm on vacation! Yay for free internet in hotels!
