Easy multi cat scooping:)

Ok so years ago I tried a sifting litter box...never thought much of it dumped at some point. So lately I have been messing around with litter options and found dr elseys senior litter(looks like a clumping clay as very fine) so I was in petsmarts litter box aisle and saw a sifting hooded box...hmmm.
Bought one and I filled one tray up and kept the hood off along with a pan and the sifter...I now have the worlds biggest litter scoop-just dump the litter into the sifter/spare box. Ok I have to many cats to not care about the ease of scooping. Works fine with the arm hammer essentials and dr litter. My cats are so good hearted they don't care to much what I do(I leave a box with regular fresh step no matter what I mess around with in other boxes just in case they HATE new stuff.

Ooh, that's a good idea. I have a sifting pan around somewhere, I didn't like to use it as intended because it's too shallow, and when they pee on the sifter it clogs up. But to use it as a giant scooper. . . I have to try that. I'll let everyone know how it goes!

This is how I use mine, I keep the sifter out of the box that is being used. I also use it for my 3 regular boxes as well. Saves a lot of time and is easier.

Its funny my cats are spoiled with the litter I guess...Cause they absolutely refuse to use the enclosed box with or without hood. Then again they are used to using storage totes(used to be rubbermaids with hole cut into side now I use one of those and the rest are 55-71 qt clear/pink.

Years ago I was over house of lady I knew from work. 4 cats 1 enclosed box maxed out. Told her she was lucky cats never seeked out other places to go besides litter/right in front of litter box

Works much better with the silica litter then the arm hammer essentials tho. dr elseys sifts right on through.
