Bestest Foods Evah!

Kitties can't real labels, so this isn't about what the best food is by human standards. I mean, what self respecting kitty really cares what their human thinks is best anyway?

To my cats there are two kinds of foods that are the bestest!

1. Brand New Fresh Food!

This is the first bowl of food poured from a newly opened bag of food. Ophelia will cow down a full bowl of Brand New Fresh Food in one day, where she usually only eats maybe 1/2 a bowl. This is a "follow-mom-around-to-the-bowls" kind of yummy!

2. Floor Foods!

This is apparently a calico special. Ginger and Annie just love any food that accidentally falls on the floor. Not human food, though they would love that too. Their own kitty kibbles. If it spills from the food container onto the floor it adds 50-75% more yums!

Pizza and fries. Gigi used to live in a student dorm type apartment with her foster dad so you can see where she aquired her taste.

The ones they can get away by thievery. If there's unguarded food (on the table/counter) whether for people or pets, it's the best food evah! That is why I hate to be interrupted while cooking or eating because I know the food will disappear if I go away.

Much once came out of a deep sleep and became the biggest pest when DH came home with a freshly baked loaf of bread. Cheese and bread were her bestest food evah.

mine both agree w/yours that fresh from the bag is the BEST! also, Cable [& Firefox] always thought the ferals' food was better than theirs... i would fill the inside cats' bowls [RC Special 33], then do the ferals' food [Petsmart's Authority] - both Cable & Firefox soon learned i sometimes dropped a few kibbles & they'd RUN to eat them. i started putting a few on the floor just for them! might've been because it was on the floor, or they just might've preferred it Java thinks that people salmon [like in the pouch] is the best, but she also really likes Wildside Salmon treats.
oh, & the wet food eaters think wet food is DELISH - but chicken baby food is even better!
Chip used to like to lick my ice cream bar stick, & Cable likes to lick my cottage cheese bowl [both when i'm done].

Quite simple - what the other cat has is best!!!LOL Da Lip also thinks popcorn is better than cat treats.

Well with Pria, it seems to be whatever I'M eating. She's still learning her meal time manners.

For the rest of them, TREAT TIME, best foods!

I also agree that fresh kibble from a new bag must be the best. I was worried when we were at the end of our last bag; Neko grazed on her kibble for well over 6hrs. When we finally got the new bag she finished her serving in 3hrs and licked her bowl

Freshly openned bags are great. Even I can even tell that by the smell when they're openned but Fancy Feast Dry Chicken and Salmon is kitty crack to my girls. I could leave that out in the rain and sun for a week before giving it to them and it would still be the bestest cat treat evuh.

Ginga's favourite is probably broccoli or any types of meat LOL

Bestest foods ever come in freshly opened cans! Once the leftovers are refrigerated, they are not so bestest anymore .
Also deli turkey! Tubi goes into a frenzy when we make turkey sandwiches, it is hilarious to watch him. He sings to the turkey
