Introducing Evangeline (Evie)

Just wanted to introduce my new foster kitty, Evangeline (Evie), who was left behind when her owners moved:

What a pretty little girl! I don't understand how people can just up and move and leave their pets behind. Grrr! So glad someone found her and she's now being fostered in a loving home.

She looks very sweet and loving.

The owners leaving her like that.....reason number 456 why I don't like people.

Good people like you are few and far between.

She's gorgeous!!! She looks like she knows she's found a safe place - she looks very contented. I love that third pic where her paw is out front. I bet she's purring. Her paw seems to be doing the "air kneading" thing.

She's so cute! Look she has cuts on her left ear

Evangeline...what a beautiful name for a lovely tabby girl.
Do you have an estimated age for her yet.

She sure landed in the right place...
under our Kitty Fairy's loving care.

What a beautiful little girl! Glad she ended up under your care.

Awwww! And yes - I hate people who dump, abandon, abuse their animals. Like many people involved in the rescue end of things - I have a house full of cats no one wanted anymore. And they are all FAB-U-LOUS!!!! Sigh......

Oh Evie, what a gorgeous girl
Those strong soulful eyes She is better off without someone who cared for her like they did. I hope she finds the best home ever

She is beautiful! It amazes me too that people can leave behind such a precious life... Well, she's certainly in better hands now!

Aww, she looks so sweet and content! Poor girl, tossed aside. I hope she gets a permanent home real soon!! (In about a month we will be in the market for another kitty, I'd take her if you were close!)

Evie is beautiful with her soulful eyes. A pox on her former humans for abandoning her, and good luck in finding her a forever home.

No distance is too great for the Kitty Fairy. Seriously, I'm sure there's some lucky kitty in your area who will ready to come home with you when the time's right.

She does. Looks they might be deliberate too - maybe with a scissors? I fostered a little calico kitten a few years ago whose whiskers had been cut off by neighborhood kids.

It's a long name, but my boss suggested it and, since she's been so understanding about the cat stuff, figured she deserved naming rights.

No idea on age. Neighbors who were feeding her just said "young." Hoping the vet can narrow that down.

Abandoning a pet is a stain on the soul and a curse that can never be outlived.

I hope it is illegal where they moved from and that these people are found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I love the name you gave her, it suits her perfectly ♥♥ Thank you for taking care of this adorable cat!

Oh, I know there are plenty of kitties in need at the LB shelter, I was looking online at them just the other day. Too many!! But yes, soon we will take another into our home and hopefully give Genever some long-awaited cat company.

Thanks, guys.

Evangeline's a sweetie and I'm happy to have her. I'm really grateful for your kind words too. I've been struggling a bit with my cat involvement lately, so appreciate the encouragement.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Shame on her former 'owners'- I hope they are eaten by guilt. Bless you for caring for her!

She's so pretty!

I just want to hang people who leave their pets behind when they move!!! That's so terrible!

Thank you for fostering this beautiful girl!

I'll back that up with a Hex.

Such a beautiful girl she is too. I don't know how anyone can just move and leave the cat behind but it happens all the time.

We were adopted some years ago by a lovely black and white cat who turned up in our garden. He was friendly so we knew he'd once belonged to someone. He was unneutered, riddled with fleas and worms and had obviously been living rough for a long time.

He moved in with us within a couple of weeks - and cost us a fortune on vets bills. However, he turned into a beautiful cat. Our vet thought he was about 15 years old when he examined Toby. He lived with us for 4 years then one day he went out and never came back. We think he went into the woodland behind our house and just went to sleep and died.

We know he didn't have an accident because his body was never found. A few months after he went missing I had a couple of dreams. Both times I found myself in a strange kitchen with a woman I didn't recognise.

Toby was doing what he liked doing best - eating but he turned and ran into my arms, purring his head off and rubbing his face against my face (yes, I could actually feel him). The woman said she was looking after him for me until we can be reunited.

I knew when I woke up that Toby was no longer on this earth but that he was OK and being very well looked after.

I really hate people who dump their animals. They are beneath contempt.
