A silly, paranoid question about communicable diseases...

Okay...one of my cats needs to visit the vet for a teeth cleaning. I don't have a car right now, so I have to hitch a ride with someone. That someone happens to have indoor-outdoor cats (mine are inside exclusively) who are not up to date on vaccinations. One gets tapeworms fairly often, but no fleas as far as we can tell. That particular cat has only been in the car once, probably a month ago. But the other indoor-outdoor cat hangs out in the car often. My paranoid self is worried that my cat might pick up some sickness from being in the same car that the inside-outside kitties have spent time in. That's highly unlikely, though, isn't it?

If your cats in a cage I don't see it as being to much different then a cat going and staying at vet minus some stress it would have on system if it had a surgery . Vet I used in past had a drop off early pick up after work program and I wondered wait what if a few cats come in that day they hold them and then go to see them hour later to realize one was felv pos or something. I would roll windows down as opposed to the ac on(but oh kitty/I will get cold with ac just in case cat sneezed in there).

I have been in car of someone whos cats were neg on felv (fiv is $EX or deep bites so really no concern to yours) but were allowed in out. years ago and I never got anything...now the actual vets in our family car my cats came home a few times sneezing after spay/neuter.
