Aya's decided to be mischeivous today. I was awakened at 6am to the feeling of somebody whizzing on my butt (We've been very good and haven't had any accidents since June).

When I got home from work (with the laundry). He jumped on my hand and bit me completely unprovoked.

There was a bit (and by a bit I mean about a foot) of fuzzy nylon-y string lint in the laundry. Wouldn't you know it took her only a few minutes to grab it and start to eat it. I swear she has a sixth sense about when I want to grab hold of her and do something to her against her wishes. So, she took off, which the string in her mouth trying to swallow it. She is so fast I live in probably less than 500 sq. feet and would you believe I couldn't catch her. She only slowed down once she'd swallowed it all.

In addition she seems to ahve a serious case of the friskies today. She's had several of what I call crazy kitty spaz attacks since I've gotten home. Let's hope all that energy keeps the string thing moving through her intestines.

Now I'm just going to have to wait for it to pass.

Sometimes cats can act just like little kids!!!!
I'm sending some too. I sure hope that string doesn't get caught in her intestines.

Is there a full moon tonight?
Here's hoping she's calmed down and she passes the string.

UPDATE: Last night Aya hoped into the box to poo and left with a giant doody hanging from her bum. Then she proceeded to try and wipe it off all over the diningroom/hallway floor -yuck!

I was eating at the time, so it took a minute for me to finish my food grab a wad of TP and chase her down. All the while thinking to myself 'don't go into the bedroom and wipe your bum on the tatami'. Aya is not much of a handling cat; she likes physical affection from her human on her terms only. I swear she also has a sixth sense for when I want to grab hold of her and do something to her that she's probably not going to like, even if its in her best interests. So, she took off. MY apartment's the size of your average American hotel suite. She's still so fast its hard to catch her. And there she is running around with a giant turd attached to her bum.

I finally grabbed her and removed the poop. It was attached to her with some polyester fuzz. I hope that's the string she gulped down the other day. Afterwards I tried to ahve a little chat with her about 'this is why you're not supposed to eat things like mommy's hair and string, etc... Because you'll chain your poo to your bum'.

Somehow I doubt it will prevent the next incident though.

Then I went to scrub down the poo smear all over the floor. Thank god it's wood!

After reading your story, I looked down into Aya's big innocent eyes in her picture on your siggie. And I thought her? She doesn't look the sort who would whizz on one's butt, eat string, or get into all sorts of mischief involving poo. I believe your story, but are you sure it was her? I am quite convinced Aya has been falsely accused...some rogue kitty must have sneaked into your apartment and got up to no good.

I'm not sure it's a phase. Her nickname is 'small furry terror'. My former cat-sitter called her 'devil in a cat skin'.

I think you need a different siggy then...nobody's ever going to believe your story with that one!

It was generously donated by the siggie fairy on this site. However I was not consulted about the design nor the neglect in doing a proper purrsonality survey of the cat to be depicted beforehand, so I can't be held responsible for certain acts of misrepresentation.

If anyone would like to volunteer their time to redo my signature to more accurately reflect her purrsonality, be my guest.

How about a pitchfork and some horns?... Small furry demon cat...
