I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Yes cats can donate blood.
They have to be a certain weight an free of any sickness.
Most cats are Type A or B and a few are AB.
My Coco got a blood transfusion on July 22nd and I have had 2 other cats that had transfusions.

Yes there are. My cat Spot is a blood donor (my dog is also). Some vets keep their own blood donor cat which lives at the clinic, but some places also have animal blood banks and pet blood donation programs. We have one of those at an emergency vet clinic here in Chicago. They have a blood bank to provide blood products for their own clinic and also for other clinics in the area. The rules depend on the program. The program we are in, you bring in your pet every 2 months to donate blood. They must be 10 pounds or over (which is why only one of my cats is a donor) and a certain age, I think it's between 1-7 years old. They have to be fully vaccinated too. Before they can donate the clinic does bloodwork to make sure the pets are healthy and free of any diseases, their blood type is checked and they're tested for FIV/FelV. They also get screening bloodwork every year. IIRC donor cats must have blood type A.
