i live in a rural area. These are the cat brands readily available in nearby stores. I looked for EVo but it is not anywhere in the area

Any comments one over the other?
By the way If a can says "no grain", should i assume the cans that do not say that, have grain?

Do you mean Taste of the Wild?

I will let sharky detail stuff here but Wellness and Pet Guard are not grain free. My boys didn't like the wet from either of these. Didn't try the dry.

They did like the Before Grain and Taste of the Wild dry foods. I feed TOTW.

Best to read labels. For instance, many of the Fancy Feast pates (classic) have no grain or soy in them, but lots of other so-so stuff .....

Also grain free in a dry food does not mean carbohydrate free. They all use some sort of starch as the binding agent(s) in the manufacturing process. Potatoes, peas, etc.

If you have a feed store near you, ask them if they can order the Evo for you. I live in a big city and I get my Evo at one of the area feed stores. Go figure!

We feed Evo venison wet and Wellness CORE or grain-free wet. I also feed Taste of the Wild dry to my Herpes + girl. They like them all equally well and do well with all of them. I have noticed stinkier poops when they eat the Wellness, if that matters to you. We used to feed our herpes girl Wellness CORE dry as well. She loved that, too. I have no experience with Pet Guard.

Grain free simply means they don't add any grains as fillers (rice, wheat, corn to name a few) however, the dry will still have some type of carb in it, so you will still need to watch their weight if that's an issue for you.

Evo is a Natura brand ... look for stores that have California Natural, Karma, Healthwise and Innova ... If they have one of them they can order the others...

In a canned no grain is actually as noted easier to find... I find one at the grocery store with grain, starch( most have peas , potatoes and carrots), artificial colors, flavors ( including natural as this can be MSG)or chemical preservatives...

no grain should be no grain though I have found rice and wheat by products in a No grain can before... Ie read the labels

Wellness (grain free) wet is always a hit with my two - be careful though there are a couple of flavors that contain grain. I inadvertently started feeding my two a can with grain and they both had diarrhoea for a day…

I would have to concur with the litter box comment made though...

Of the list you gave, the only experience I have is with Wellness, and it has been all positive. I buy only the grain-free varieties and my fosters love 'em.

Natural Balance has a grain-free canned available now, too, called Chicken and Green Pea.

Indeed they do, all four of their Green Pea formulas are grain-free; that's why I buy them.

a little accuracy in post s would be good as your post is written as if they had only one flavor and it was a new thing... ...

For the OP realize most grain frees have a starch usually pea or potato both are fairly allergenic items ( at this pt they are near wheat in the allergies seen).. there are many lesser known brands that have neither thus more meat
