Daily Thread August 5th

Morning! Starting the daily thread really helps me remember the date.

It's a hot and muggy day with storms coming. I so can't wait to turn the A/C off but looks like we have another week of this heat coming.

Laundry is in the washer, dish washer is on, I showered, Jr is attempting to nap and next is the kitchen floor.

Mom has an appointment with a hand surgeon. She had hand surgery over a year ago and now she is getting muscle spasms and numbness from the elbow down. We aren't sure if there is another problem or if it's related to the surgery.

I hope they figure it out. She can't write or type when this happens which means no work.

Dana and I are so anxious! He was supposed to find out about the promotion today, but the managers are all at an offsite meeting, so he won't find out until tomorrow. We are NOT patient people!

After work today Pria has her vet check up.

I'm hoping everything goes well and that she will be able to be spayed soon. I just want to get all that done and over with.

And Kailie, good luck with Pria's appt, too. Hope she'll be spayed soon! And sending lots and lots of for Dana! Hopefully you'll hear something soon! It's hard to be patient when something like that is at stake.

Had physical therapy this morning; so far, everything seems to be going well. My trainer added some new exercises this morning (have I mentioned that my trainer is a sadist?

In a good way, of course. He pushes me and that's good).

Hazy and muggy, muggy, muggy. Ick. Our local weatherweenies say a cold front will be coming through to be temps and humidity down for the weekend. I don't mind the heat, but that humidity is ugly.

Today is my sister's birthday and I'm taking her out for an early dinner this afternoon. On Saturday the family is having a cake for her to celebrate. Her twins are celebrating their birthdays also on Sat. since their birthdays are tomorrow...and I just feel old.

Morning... just got out of accounting class, and I brought my laptop to school so i could finish my paper that's due today!!

I just couldn't get it done last night. Too much going on. But I'm almost done, shouldn't take me more than an hour (if i stop playing on the internet like i am right now!!!). Then I have to print it out and turn it in. Then go do my weekly site inspection, and then hopefully meet BF and colleagues for lunch at the Mexican place. Yum!! Then after that I've got to go do my inspection report and head back to the apartment to finish cleaning it, and then I might be able to relax a bit and putter in the garden. Yay! Or I guess I should continue with unpacking and putting things in proper spots. But there's always tomorrow and the weekend to work on that. I am beat after this week!

So anyway, back to my paper. Good luck to all for doctor appointments and jobs and everything else! (and wish me luck on this paper, please!) Have a good day!

Good afternoon!

Got off work around 3pm, which I found impressive because this morning I wasted nearly an hour waiting on my co worker to do something I also had to do (we test for different things), before I finally told the person who had to observe us that I would just do it. It ended up taking my co worker TWO hours to get done the same amount I got done in 20 minutes

Picked up some food for the kitties, took some pictures of a dilapated shack-house from the 40s on my street, and now killing time on the internet.

I need to get to planning my return trip from Colorado - so far i've planned sights out to Denver, have to finish across CO and then back again! Also have two papers due on Sunday, ugh. One of them is 10 pages, and I'm totally procrastinating AGAIN this semester.

Today has been a very lazy day at my house! I did some washing though, it seems that Mount Washing is never over! When I have washed everything, it's time to wash diapers again and then the washing cycle starts again!

I did some knitting, I really like knitting, have done alot of knitting this summer. I knit and crochet in periods, this spring I had taken a brake from knitting and crocheing and was ready and excited to start again....well, I started by finishing what I started more than a year ago, a wollen sweather for my older son.

We played a little bit in the garden, my younger son tasted some dirt...didn't like it though!

Today is a very lazy day for Maia and I

. The 100 degree, extremely humid temperature is keeping me inside! I have had to water the plants on my back roof area 3 times already! Plants wilting are plants screaming to me.....Hopefully we will get some rain to cool things off for rain

Evening all!!

Left early this am to pick up my spearmint oil (to be added to water) at the massage place and the door was locked!! So I started my workday a little earlier as I start Thursday at our other location. Then drove to my location-super busy again. Worked at a landscape customer tonite, got the spearmint oil and now relaxing.

Heavy landscape maintance job tomorrow but temps only upper 70's which is good for me. Still an early start (6:30) though.

Don't know if I have my cold back but runny nose most of day. Cough is almost gone though.

Bender is being a PITA or in other words his usual self!! The others are all much better behaved.
