Well, the kittens are 3 and a half weeks old now. They are developing beautifully, and they are all so sweet. Thankfully, out of the 5 i have found 3 of them permanent homes. A friend of mine is in love with my favorite kitten (Heidi), she is taking her. (unless I can figure a way to keep Heidi myself, then she is going to take Heidi's twin, Purrdy.) One of my BF's friend wants one, and him and his son came over and his son picked Slim. There is a woman who was a customer at my old job who wants one, but she hasn't come over yet to pick one out. BF's cousin's boss wants one, but said he has to OK it with his wife. So if he is able to get one then there is only one left who needs a home.

They have been coming out from underneath my bed to play. Every day when i wake up, I have to turn on the light (window is blocked by the AC, so no light comes in) andas soon as I do, they start coming out. I lay on the floor and they all come over and pile up around me. Heidi rolls around on her back letting me rub her tummy, and when I kiss her on the nose she grabs my face with her lil paws and gives me kisses on my lips, and then will nibble a little
. They are running around like crazy, still a little wobbly so they fall over which is amazingly cute! I LOVE watching these little babies grow!

Last night they started eating some wet kitten food mixed with KMR. The night before, they were out playing, and I saw a couple of them trying to eat Precious' dry food that was out.. But their teeth just started coming in like Friday and they are still really tiny, so the kittens couldn't chew it. At that time I wet down some dry with the KMR but it still didn't get soft enough for them to chew it. But the ones who were trying to eat it wound up just lapping up the KMR. They took to it so fast, I didn't even think they'd be interested in solids yet. So last night I mixed some wet with KMR and they were all surrounding the plate gobbling it up and the little noises they were making were so cute. I did it again today, and they just love it. So, since they're starting to eat solids now, I am just wondering how often I can offer them some, since they are all still nursing??

Even though no one has responded to me, I'll still update.

I have been giving them some food about once a day.. they still nurse from her a lot and until they aren't nursing as much I will continue giving them food once a day until she starts pushing them away. They try to eat the dry, I'm not sure if they are actually eating it though, because I can't tell. And I look at their teeth a lot and they are still really tiny so I honestly doubt they are able to chew the pieces.

Don't know what to suggest about food, but what a wonderful update! And how great to have found so many good homes already. Are you sure you're going to be able to let Heidi go? That was such a cute image of her grabbing you with her little paws. She, well they all, sound adorable!

No, I won't be able to let her go.. Just the thought of having to give her up makes me cry like a baby. My boyfriend was on the floor with them and Heidi did her cute little thing, and that was it. Mike was sucked in by her love
. He said she can stay.

Good thing I've been warning my friend that there was a chance I'd be keeping Heidi. She wasn't too surprised when I told her. She was like ok I'll take Heidi's twin lol. So, now if everything goes as planned, they all have homes! Thank goodness, I was so worried I wouldn't be able to do it.

Hey, where's the pictures?

As far as eating dry food goes, a lot of cats don't actually chew it anyway. They just swallow the kibble whole. When I started putting dry food out for Goldy's kittens, I found that momma was eating most of it to begin with, but they did catch on eventually.

Great job finding homes for all of them.

Last nite I saw a couple of them eating the dry, and they were actually eating it so. They are still mostly nursing still, but at least they're getting used to the solid food.

I have to take newer pics of them, I have been being lazy.. Ill do that tomorrow, and post them.
