stainless steele bowls

Anyone have any recommendation for stainless steele bowls? We are looking to replace our plastic ones but do not know where to look for decent ones as the reviews are mixed at the ones I've found thus far.

My one criteria is that they must be individual (as that is how I clean them). Also, we will be purchasing probably 5 (2 food, 3 water) so money is an obvious factor :-)

I used plastic for awhile and decided to replace them. Since you have to get several and you said money is a factor, have you considered going to the thrift store and buying odd bowls there to use. That is what I did. Now my cats eat from porcelain bowls.

I found some at Walmart that I like.

The bowls are about 4" in diameter. They just set in the frame so are easy to take out and clean. The metal frame is heavy enough to keep the dishes from sliding across the floor while the kitties are eating (most of the time).

dollar tree or family dollar(they usually have 2 sizes by me) I also get them at thrift store too for .10-.50 a bowl. I gave up on bowls while back and now use puppy feeding pans for wet and a salad bowl that hold days worth food for the dry

Thanks for the recommendations! I will try to make it to a dollar store sometime soon. They definately cannot tip easily, the kitties are so batty they regularly knock or come close to knocking over their food and water.

Saw some at PetCo that have rubber on the bottom but heard it gets stinky via the reviews.

For dry food we use one of those feeder things that holds a couple weeks worth. For food and water we use our old corian bowls, but we place them on a bed tray that elevates the bowls, and makes cleaning up after my messy cat Dusty easier. She can't eat wet food or drink water without covering the tray with over spill! Squeak is much neater and never drops food outside the bowl.

We used to use stainless steel, with the rubber on the bottom, but they get pretty gunky, so we converted to heavy ceramic...much easier to clean and they haven't broken one yet. To protect our tile floors, I just put a row of hot glue on the bottom of each one so the floors don't get scratched.

I shopped for ours at Goodwill, and believe it or not, got some at Ace Hardware when they were having a sale. Got some with cute paws on them for $1 each.

Another vote for cheapo ceramic dishes and bowls from Goodwill or a local thrift store. We found some great bowls (4) and dessert plates (8) at Goodwill for about $5!

I have some ceramic bowls that I picked up for 10 cents apiece at a church yard sale. They work great for the wet food, but I have to say I'm glad I didn't pay any more for them. I also have tile floors and the kitties have managed to break three of the dishes and chip two others in the last two years.

I mostly use stainless steel both for the cats and our dogs. They are far easier to keep clean and sterilised and can be put in the dishwasher plus the don't break.

My second choice is ceramic for the above reasons but these can and do get broken from time to time.

We have a couple of plastic bowls - one a limited edition Whiskas double bowl in the shape of a cat's head. It is dishwasher safe though.

I use Corelle bowls from Walmart for Nora. They don't seem to tip easily unless someone (human) steps on them, and they are easy to clean. Cheap also, which is nice. They are fairly break proof, so no worry there.

All 3 of my kitties will only drink from the stainless steel bowl, they hate the plastic,so thought i would try what my little dog likes and sure enough, you should have no problem finding what you need at the dollar or thrift stores.
