I noticed yesterday that my siamese cat has a dark film over his eyes in the corner. I checked this out and it is known at the third eyelid, I am worried about this. He seems to be acting normal and is not ill. I will make him an app with the vet asap, but could someone please give me an idea and explain what this is.

When a cats third eyelid comes into view, it is most usually a signal that all is not quite right.

You say he is acting normal and that is good. You may have caught something before he starts to show symptoms. However, cats are notorious for hiding sickness.

It's a good idea to get vet checked asap.

Hope all goes well. Keep us posted.

I posted not so long ago about this, my Floss had it and I took her to the vets, turns out she has hayfever or so the vet thought, it does only happen when pollen is high and I am bad with my hayfever. I was told to take her back if it continued reguarly or on days when the pollen count isn't high but it hasn't. that your kitty is ok.xx

It can also be a sign of stomach or intestinal upset, bottom line, means something is not right, and as has been said cats are the masters of hiding illness.

Good for you for noticing right away, hope you can get him in to the vet in the next couple of days.

Welcome to TCS, and please keep us posted on your boy. What's his name? Got a pic?

Load your pictures into a photo hosting site like photobucket (please keep them to a decent size like the standard 640x480) and then copy the links and paste them in your post.

Please do keep us updated on your Zeek!

The vet said it maybe an infection of some sort, I was prescribed cream, She said it also could be a herpie flare up. I think he maybe under some stress too. I got a new job and things have changed. He crys often when im gone and sleeps in my closet, aswell as takes my clothing out. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get Mr. Zeek to stop stressing about my new job.

Thanks
