Should my cat fast to travel?

I'm traveling on a 1:50 hour duration flight + 4 hours prior departure to get everything right to avoid problems at airport.

after landing I will immediately give him dry food.

I want to avoid any bad smell at the airport and during the flight.

He's 2 years old.

How many hours before leaving to the airport I should stop giving him water and food?

BTW he pees when he's scared or nervous, he always pee in the car although I don't give him any liquids 3 hours before leaving the house

Thanks

How is he traveling in a car? We usually give our cats a light amount of food before going to the show and when we get there, they get the rest of breakfast.

But ours are used to traveling. I would say just give them a small amount before you leave and try to see if they will potty before going.

I usually pick up the water in the morning of the flight, they eat a regular dinner that night but no brekky in the morning.

It's about a 7 hour journey for my cats and I don't feed or water until I get them home.

You can use a puppy pee pad under his blankie in the carry box in case of an accident.

Also I put out a fresh litter tray before we go since that's guaranteed to make them use it
