Don't worry, Genever, we'll be moving in a few days to a new house with a nice yard and lots of birdies to watch! Whatcha think of that?

Birdies? I'm so there!

How funny! I'm sure Genever's going to love her new home. Glad to see her out and about rather than hiding under the bed.

I'm glad she's not hiding anymore too!

She has since moved from the sofa onto my backpack (the red thing on the floor in the photo). I keep telling her "No, you don't want to go to school with me.."

I'm sure Genever will absolutely love her new home and all the new sights, smells, and sounds that come with it -- birdies included!

Genever is just all-around gorgeous. She looks so incredibly soft (as does your sofa, by the way
) I wish I could just reach through my screen and love on her all day long. Forget school or work, I'd never be able to leave the house! She's just so lovely. That sleek, shiny fur...those eyes...that personality...

<< I guess that sums it about up. I'm done now
.

That girl is beautiful! She's going to enjoy her new home!

Oh, and Banshee went to school with me! I had to give a how-to speech for my public speaking class. I talked about grooming a cat....and Banshee was my model. She was absolutely purrfect!

Genever is a pretty kitty, as usual. How do you pronounce Genever? Like "Geneva Switzerland" or "Jennifer" ?

Thank you! I'd send along the complement, but she has told me she already knows she's good looking..
Tough Crowd!! Um.. as to how to say her name, haha, well, it's like Jennifer but it's Genever. Kind of like saying Jennifer with a V instead of an F. Based on the Dutch liquor on which Gin is based actually, even though it's more often pronounced Ye-NEH-ver. Genever/Jenever is mainly found in The Netherlands and Belgium, and comes in many flavors, the juniper flavored one being Gin. I am much more of a (craft/micro)beer drinker, and I don't like gin, but I've had wonderful flavors of genever like violet and chocolate and cactus... such a neat experience.

You know it's funny, since having Genever, I find myself having a hard time saying the name JenniFer! My primary dr. is Jennifer Kim and shares a practice with another Dr. Kim, and I tend to say I need an appt with JenniVer Kim, then try to correct myself.
