Tumble Tries to Make a Friend (Pic heavy)

We've started the integration process with Tumbleweed and our two other girls. Amazingly, our oldest cat is doing much better than I had anticipated. Last night, she came into the room and jumped up on the bed like she owned it. She proceeded to settle down for a little nap while the little guy played. Well, Callie's tail was hanging over the edge of the bed and you know what that means to a kitten!! He was also fascinated with her ability to jump on the bed.

His first move. (Callie's the dark tortie and Tumbleweed's the little tabby guy.)


Trying to reach the tail (Callie's totally oblivious to his interest)


He makes it past her and settles on the foot of the bed. "Hi! Can I be your friend?"


Beginning to creep closer to Callie.


"Oh. Okay. I'll start cleaning myself, too." (He's watching her and mimicking her movements.)


"Can I share your blankie?"


"How 'bout I just lay down NEAR you? I just want to be your friend."


"See? Seriously, just friends."


When he rolled over, Tumble invaded Callie's personal space, hissed and growled at him and turned around. Tumble scurried off the bed, defeated, but eager to try again. He was not successful...this time.

Oh that is sooooo cute and great narrative! I am sure they will be best friends for many years, as soon as Tumble wears down Callie!

Aw, Tumble is so cute. It actually looks like a pretty decent attempt as Callie didn't freak out until he got too close. He will win her over eventually.

MY Callie has a white tip on the end of her tail, so if you don't think that was a kitty magnet, think again . It's STILL a draw, and "the boys" are now 18 months old. Just last night her tail was hanging off the end of the counter as she was eating her treats, and Stinkpot went for it. (And, as usual, she didn't appreciate it)

Keep at it, Tumble! She won't be able to resist your boyish charm for long!

I love Callie's "airplane ears" in the middle pics. She may be playing it cool, but she's on the alert! Airplane Ears never cease to crack me up, no matter how many times I see them...whether on TCS, or in my own house!

Looks like things continue to go really well for Tumble! Keep the pics coming!

What a SMART boy! The time I let him out at the cattery he marched right up to that Birman mom and started lovin' on her and she let him, even washed his face. I guess somehow he could sense it would be OK, yet knew he would have to take it slower with your kitty girl.

I hope the introductions continue to go well. He's such a little lover!
