I just wanted to get an opinion on this. One of my cats had a dental cleaning and teeth extraction last week. One of the teeth that was extracted was an upper canine and the other was a lower molar or premolar. I fed him canned food only for several days following the extraction. So here it is a week later and he's not eating his dry food. He's eating the canned food ok but he doesn't seem interested in the dry. I inspected his mouth and noticed that the sutures from the canine tooth are hanging down in his mouth. I can see the knot where it was tied off and there are two pieces hanging down about 1/4" to 3/8". Is that normal? He's supposed to go back in for a follow up visit later this week. But if the sutures aren't supposed to be like that then maybe I should call. I just wanted to get some opinions first. I hate calling there for things that aren't important. I think some of the secretaries/receptionists are already irritated with me for me wanting to thoroughly go over the bill and asking questions before paying.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

If you EVER have a question about something do not hesitate to call your vet. That is what they are there for. That is my opinion. I waited and waited and waited and come to find out my cat had been in agonizing pain for months (Not saying that is what is going on with yours of course)
There probably would be short little lines hanging down from the knot, but if a suture has come loose the vet needs to know so he can fix it. If food gets in there or he gets what is essentially dry socket it can put him off his food for sure.
That is what I just went through with My Boo, the old vet didn't even suture his extraction site and said it would close by itself, and I believed him. Here we are 7 months later and Boo is finally able to eat normally and not be in agonizing pain.
ALWAYS Call if you have questions or concerns. It is in the best interest of your pet.
