I found this on Newspaper

This kitten live in China, with a pair of "wing" on its back. Although kitten can not fly with its wings, it can actually make it move. the wings are soft, have no bone inside.

This kitten also has one blue eye, and one orange eye.

I wouldn't believe it myself unless I saw it. It's too easy to do that stuff in Photoshop.

That picture does look fake to me BUT as Christy showed as they are real and it's very rare this happens, very freaky! alot of persians in the old days used to have these , haha and I would know as Nana's friend has pictures from way back and you didn't "doctor" pictures in those days...

Thanks for sharing!

Sam.

A rare condition known as Feline Cutaneous Asthenia, (diagnosed in 1990s), can cause the 'wings'. It causes the skin to have more elasticity than usual and the skin is VERY fragile and is prone to injury and you have to be careful and very alert to any injuries sustained as it can lead to infections.

The article also said that besides the condition called Feline Cutaneous Asthenia, clumps of matted fur in long haired cats can also have the appearance of wings.

I wonder why we don't hear about these winged cats when we hear about other freaky things like two-headed calves and animals with 5 legs?

Because it's rare? I think it's because most people can tell the difference between hair mats and wings...

I loved the articles! It would be so cool if there were such things as flywackets (cats with wings) I can just imagine what the house would look like if my cats could fly! LOL
