Honestly YES!

So lets go back a couple days to Saturday....Bright and early in the morning BF and I get up go to breakfast and started off having a GREAT morning. Nothing like yummy steak and eggs followed by a large iced turbo coffee from DD!!! Great right

Well we were at Bfs brothesr house because he was getting cement poured for his garage that he is building. His gf (Miss) and I decided that we were going to run to the other end of town, literally a 5 minute drive, to get ice for the cooler for all the guys that were working. Well we get to the part where we are driving past the elementary school right to where 890 stops and you have to turn right or left onto 225. Well we were traveling on 225 going to the store, moseying right along doing about 25mph when the speed limit was 35. Some butthead turd mobile in a hatchback station wagon pulled out right in front of us. Literally 5 feet in front of us and both Miss and I got out the "OH" in the Oh s word part of the accident. Well we ended up t-boning the guy right into his passenger door. Took all the impact on the passenger side where I was sitting. SCARY!!!!!

Thank God her airbags deployed or both her and I would have been hurt really really bad. The guy we hit only had a cut on his elbow and some glass in his hair. But we smashed in his passenger side. Thank heavens we werent going the speed limit because it would have been a lot worse for him. Miss wasnt hurt that bad just has a bruise from the steering wheel. Me however being the bonehead that I am decided to not listen to all the "NEVER brace youself in an accident" advice, messed up my ankle, knee, I have bruise and cuts all over my right leg, a giant black bruise on my buttcheek on my left side, and burns (like road rash) on both my arms from the air bag, plus how it happened I dont know but my jiggle roll on my belly is bruised and battered not to mention extreme back and neck pain. OMG I am hurting still 2 days later, I feel like a beat up Rainbow Brite!!!!

Im working really hard on not being extremely MAD at the other driver because really!!! PAY ATTENTION I dont get why its so hard for people to look left then right then left again or even right first. It wasnt super bright and sunny so theres no blind spot excuse, the guy just wasnt paying attention. I am glad that noone was seriously hurt but still not exactly the way I wanted my Saturday morning to go. Luckily we didnt take my car because we would have been in big trouble, we took Miss' jeep cherokee which is a TANK only lost its bumper and smashed the bejeepers out of the passenger side, its missing the lights and everything and broke the air condenser thingie so it leaked frion (sp?) everywhere. Just a crappy crappy day! But again, atleast noone was seriously injured.

It may be small of me but atleast the other guy too accepted responsibility that it was his fault, if he wouldnt have we also had half the Line Mountain football team (they were parked at the elem. school) who witnessed the whole thing and told the state trooper that it wasnt our fault. But holy crap, his car got totaled, and because her jeep is a 97 and the air bags deployed her jeep is going to be totaled by the insurance company, so now she is on a car hunt to find a replacement. Crappy crappy crappy.....

Miss' boyfriend took pictures of both cars and Im going to have him forward me the pictures to my cell so I can post some of them but I just had to share how crappy my weekend was!!!

So rule of thumb!! If you are within 10-15 miles of your house WATCH out for those weirdo drivers who dont pay attention.....Accidents SUCK BIGTIME!!!!!!

Wow, I'm glad no one was injured. I had a guy run a red light and t-bone me one time. It's scary.....I knew it was going to happen and couldn't do a blasted thing to stop it.

Glad you're OK!

I hope you are feeling better. When DH & I were in an accident in 1989. I was so stiff and sore the next day. That accident wasn't our fault either and we were about 3 miles from home.

Take it easy the next few days. His auto insurance should pay for your drs visits too.

Wow, scary and crappy indeed! So sorry the accident happened, but glad to hear it wasn't too bad, meaning yes, you're hurting, but you're here typing on TCS and whatnot, so you're ok. Hope your aches and pains and bruises heal up fast!!

Thanks everyone for your vibes!!

Im feeling a lot better today my back muscles still hurt but hey to be expected.
I had to run to the court house yesterday to pay on mine and BFs fines and after sidestepping out of the way of some probation officers running out because they had to go catch a bad guy I cracked my ankle and felt like a ton of pressure was released from it. Whoa did that feel oh so good so its good news that my ankle was just shimmied wrong from bracing myself and slamming on my passenger side brake pedal too hard..I think we have all done that one time or another after riding with someone who makes us a wee bit nervous
...But all is well thank heavens. Now Im just ready for my rainbow assorment of bruises and air bag burn to go away...Im a little nervous to shave my legs..ickyyyy...cuz when I have a cut on my legs I always manage to slice it back open with the razor haha!! Ill have to suck it up soon cuz I cant run around in sweat pants forever, well I would if I could but it just gets too hot outside! Hopefully someone texts me those darn pictures soon so I can post them. The jeep doesnt look horrible just looks like it was in a fender bender but the subaru we hit was all smashed up. Youd be able to see from the pictures how if we were driving my cavalier it would have been a lot worse.

Since BF and I need to replace Bertha soon Im trying to convince him that the expense of an SUV would be well worth it and would make me feel alot safer driving around with those boneheads on the road. Im hoping he will either shell out for an Explorer, Cherokee, or Escape. I have a whole new respect for the strength of SUVs and trucks after this weekend and I def want one of those gas guzzlers as my next vehicle. Then I will have a tank surrounding me
