Morning peeps!

Welp, here we are and its Monday again. One more week or work and then vacation time for me

Can't wait to have some time off. We are going to Cape Cod!

I'm all alone in the office pretty well today. My counterpart on holidays and so is the woman on my left. So I am alllll alone. Its good though, I need to get a lot of work done. We are behind because of the hail catastrophe in Alberta.

Morning! Been up since 5:30. DS wanted to go to bed an hour early yesterday. Lucky me.

It's going to be a beautiful day. Hopefully I am awake during the afternoon to take a walk. I might opt for a nap instead.

Wash is on hold since the valve to the cold water is busted. DH tried to replace it last night but the bolt is stripping the pipe or something. Now him and his brother have to cut the pipe etc. Fun Fun. They better hurry before I run out of clothes.

Im sitting around recooperating from my 'wild' weekend. But after paying fines and the Snap On guy Im parking my butt on the couch and not moving for the rest of the day.

Fudge cant forget that I have to look up computer towers because my computer is dying so BF and I are going to try and find a half decent cheap replacement for it!!!

Morning all!

It's a beautiful day here and I wish I were outside enjoying it, but there's work to do.

We got to work an hour early too because Dana thought he worked 9-5 when he actually works 10-6 this week. Blah!

We'll probably go for a nice walk this evening and then curl up and watch the newest True Blood episode.

Morning!

The homecare nurse came this morning to check my incision and said that it looks really good. No open areas. There is one little puncture hole from where one of the staples was that has a scab over it, but she said that the skin is completely closed up

She said she could come one more time to check, but she didn't really feel it was necessary and left it up to me. I told her that if the skin is closed completely and there is no drainage or signs of infection, that there is no need for further monitoring and that I'll just continue to put a cloth into the tummy fold when I sit down in order to keep the area dry.

I don't know what I'll do today. I'm feeling restless again and itching to get out. I think I'll take a cab to the library and sit there for a few hours, maybe have lunch out. I have a craving for chinese food! From the library to the food court will be just the right amount of walking without tiring me out too much.

Then I think I'll try my hand at doing some laundry. I'm near the end of my towels.

Morning!

After a bit of a wild ride yesterday with t-storms and lots of cloud-to-ground lightning, we're back to a gorgeous sunny day. I have therapy this morning; hopefully things will go well. And I did 1/2 mile on the treadmill yesterday!

I still have a long, long way to go, but at least I'm on the right track.

Laundry, cat care and writing projects for me today. We're finally getting a break from the oppressive heat, and there is much rejoicing around the household.

Afternoon all!!

Well its my birthday (the big 53!). I took the day off as I don't work on my birthday if I can help it! I did a bit of gardening, then worked on submitting my quarrterly sales tax. Reading a book and having some wine then dinner out tonite. Nice weather a breeze low 80's and no rain!!

Happy Birthday Gail!

Today is/was also my dad's birthday.

BF left this morning to go to Tulsa, OK for work til Thursday, but he is STILL stuck at LAX! His flight was majorly delayed due to mechanical problems so he got his flights changed and instead of leaving at 9, he's due to leave at 3:30. His work Blackberry isn't working except to send/receive emails, and his laptop all of a sudden got a crack in the screen so that's not working! So he's got nothing to do during all that time in the airport. Poor guy.

My day has been going better, however. I got my last accounting test and Quickbooks project scores back today, 100 on the test, and 20 out of 15 points on the QB! (5 points extra credit) Nice!

After that I did my weekly site inspection, and also did some shopping for house stuff- a box fan, a stepladder, hangers, a toilet seat (yes there are toilet seats on the 2 toilets, but i want my own!), and a juicer and pitcher so I can make lemonade! (our new house has a lemon tree!)

For the rest of the day I need to do homework and study, and pack up some more stuff and bring it to the house. Trying to get as much as I can out of the apt this week before we get the U-Haul on Saturday for furniture.

Yes, this week is proving to be a tough one, but it will be good in the end.
