i decided to grow watermelons & canteloupes from seeds this year. the plants are doing great and are getting bigger every day. there's one watermelon on the vine that's about 6in in diameter, that's it. there's plenty of little teeny melons on the vines and they get to about the size like the tip of my thumb. the next day they have either disappeared or are all shrivelled up and have turned black. i can't figure out what's wrong. i've checked for bugs, caterpillars etc but haven't seen any.
