Hello again,
A wee bit of history, i got this ferel cat to accept me as a friend.
I live in a very rural area, but there is a busy road near by, with a wild tree area across the road. I also have 1 arcer of wild grass and flowers {total over grown, but it's depraved of fertalizer, to enchance wild flower growth}

The cat has it's area or hunting area marked accross the road and now the wild field at the house.

I spent manny a worry momement of losing this cat to road traffic. But i know after watching her over 2 years, she is Sreet wise.

Also another habit of this cat, is it's nocturnal drive.
2am on the 24th of june i am bombarded with mewo's.

So what will it eat?

Canned food, soft food or nut's.

All of the above and then go off soft foods till she is very hungery.
Nuts she will eat till the cows come home.

I have placed 2 water bowl's away from her feeding area, 1 inside and 1 outside.

But of late she is eating birds. i see her pukes, alot of feathers.
And funny enoufh i cought her getting sick on my chair in the sun room, the other day, i went to get paper and detergents, but when i returned, the cat was napping and no sign of the puke appart from one nut.

It's also funny how they learn, i can't open a can of beens any more if the cat is arround, tin , food

And Fish, this cat loves fish. I had a samon Sandwich and was enjoying when, mewo. mewo, i had a cat on my lap trying to smell everything.
But even after fishy foods, this cat will turn arround and just eat nut's

Please do NOT give nuts to your cat - yes, they will be attracted to it, but a lot of them are toxic to cats, and the ones that aren't can cause obstruction. It is not a safe food for cats. Please stop immediately.

Cat canned food will be the best thing for her, if you can afford, or cat dry food, but always cat food...

If you have the chance to feed her twice a day, even better.... It sounds that she is getting good nutrition from hunting though - that is great! Try feeding her on the same place, and sitting with her, so she can get friendlier with time.

Again, keep giving her only cat food, wet preferably, then dry. But NEVER nuts.
As soon as you can trap her, you should take her to the vet to get her spayed (assuming she is a female) or neutered if male.

Good luck!

Yep you are right, the nuts i refer to are indeed cat food dry and look like nuts.
i was told by a vet to keep or place the cat's drinking water away from it's eating area as cat's are hunters and associate their eating area as contaminated and to feed wet food if they like as much as possiable as cats have a very efficent kidney system. But need water avaible,
So my system is 2 feeding bowles #1 for dry food and #2 for the odd treat of milk.

yes i know adult cats lack a bacteriz to breake down the emzimes in cow's milk as do most non-northern humans. p
Put it this way if you are from northern Europe by a genetice code you can drink milk. You inheret the latose acid to adult stage. 99% of world mamales do not, incluinding cats and humans.
So i Guess if you learn to tolerate milk so can a cat.

W/ the best cats
It's funny how ferals have different taste in food. In my experience, given a choice, they will go for the wet food first. When I leave canned food for the colony near my house, it is finished in seconds
but the dry tends to last a whole day.

I think you are better off leaving water than milk... not all humans are lactose intolerant.... Those who are though, really should be away from milk, orelse they get in real tummy trouble... IMO same with cats... it is just not healthy for them. They do have cat milk if you want to give it as a treat... As long as you are feeding a large can of wet food a day, your kitty will be getting pretty much most of the water it needs.
Fresh water is always good... I don't see a problem leaving it close to the food.
But that is my opinion...

You can also buy non-lactose milk for humans and is a cheeper version than cat milk.
But my point is;
I have a Wild Cat and i guess Cats have markers and a area to matain to enable them to be Cats.
i am going to guess about every 21 days this cat will sleep on the couch, then switch to a box up stairs.
So i asume that the cat is using a knowage of bug habituus.
Oh btw cat flees will bite, but as wrong blood type will soon die.
I became aware of this problem when my better half, not waring pants walked into a sunny room and due to pounding (walking produces awakining effect to flees) was covered in cat flees, which tried to eat her, but droped off as the wrong blood type for the flees, but without doing some dammage

I gave up giving the cat wet food as it normaly turns up its nose and just eats dry food. I gave up on the tins i had to dump, and also wet cat food smells and attract flys when over a day old. But i solved the problem. no more tins just packet wet food. ok costs more but when i offer it to the cat and she turns up her nose to it, out the door it goes. in a bowl
and the wild cats near by goble it up

I and the wild Cat have become friends
Indoors i normaly give up petting the cat. she just loves petting, turns on her back and loves her tummy rubed and as she is total black her face is quite qute,
But to realy love this cat i have to go outside in thr summer.
What i thought was cat play indoors turned out to be cat attack out-doors.
Cat turns on her back and as you rub her she shows her drackula fangs. miniks biting you, uses her fore paws to right her self while kicking normaly in the wrist area with her hind claws, then she runs off, stops looks at you. and crawles back to you to start it all over again.

So who is playing with who?
