Happy Gotcha Day my princess!


A yr ago today, Neko was in a little cage meowing at me and pawing through the bars to get my attention. “Pick me, hey you there, pet me, over here!” She was the last of her siblings to be adopted. Adopting Neko wasn’t planned but I saw her face, her beautiful colors, and the uniqueness of her character. All the attention was on, previously named, Raspberry. Called the bf and said I needed her! Please, please, please!
I was totally unprepared for a kitty. In fact, I never owned a kitty! The head of the rescue group helped me out though and gave me a tour of the kitty section at petco (which is where the adoption was held). Showed me the must have items I would need now and other items I could pick up later.
So off me and Neko went, back to my work place (I told you this wasn’t planned. I was on my lunch break .). The coworkers loved her!! One yr later and I’m still telling stories about this crazy little tortie I have.

Not only is Neko a gorgeous cat, but remarkably tolerant of having odd things placed around her neck! MommyCat and I have attempted such things with our gang, and we're lucky to have survived.

Thank you I had been bugging my bf for a kitty and luckily he gave in that day He loves her bunches too!

She's harness/leash trained so i guess thats why she doesn't mind. She'll let us put hats on her too but they only stay on for a matter of seconds. Clothes make her walk in a crouching manner. But collar like clothing she doesn't mind one bit. She started chewing on the little crowns on the princess collar above so i removed it. It will only be a photo prop or to show her off when company is over

Was away for a day... Thank you!! Such kind words, puts a smile on my face!! Will need it too... on my way to work, haha. Just finished a game of fetch with Neko Along with a happy gotcha day comes a vet visit. Will post how that goes; appt is aug.2!
