This morning I was sleeping in my bed and suddenly Ginga appears! She prodded me with her paws and lay down, obviously this woke me up
Ginga then started to scratch at my covers. I let her go under there, she didn't suffocate because I kept it open. Then she jumped out and went to the end of my bed where my feet were. I've got sea creatures and such on my covers and she scratches at them, it's very annoying but so cute and funny to watch. Just thought I'd share this with you all.

Aww, Ginga sounds like such a sweet kitty. By the way, I've always been meaning to ask this, but how exactly do you pronounce her name? Curious minds (okay, well, at least mine) want to know!

I have a couple of kitties who will try to snuggle in under the covers. But, it's usually my dogs who like to go under the blankets at night. And, I don't even bother with holding the covers open -- they won't suffocate! The fabric breathes enough that it's not a worry. My dogs absolutely cannot sleep without being under the blankets and so I'm accustomed to that, but I always find it so sweet when one of the kitties wants to snuggle. I don't love it as much during the summer when it's hot, humid, and sticky, but there's nothing better than taking a nap with a couple of dogs and kitties snuggled up against you in the winter!

It's good that Ginga can make you laugh...even when she's causing trouble...

Don't worry she won't suffocate, all mine sleep under the covers at night some right down the end near my feet.

Thanks you two :]
To you Allison and anyone else, you pronounce her name like Ginger. I'm not sure why the RSPCA or the original owners called her Ginga though.

She's a cutie! All my cats, including Mollipop, like to sleep under the covers sometimes. It's funny.....I'll go into the bedroom and see "lumps" under the covers. And if I touch them, they move!

I always wondered how Ginga's name was pronounced, too. I like it.
