Thank you for all of your suggestions. Oreo has this one toy - it looks like a plastic spring, that he loves to play with. He bats it around on my kitchen and bathroom floors. I throw that for him, and he chases it like crazy. I will try your suggestion with the treats if he starts to get really lazy after he is fixed.
