I found out about him through my Mother in law. She had found out about them from word of mouth from someone else. They knew the time was coming for one of their cats to be put to sleep..........it had cancer. I think they thought having a kitten before would help ease the pain???? Anyway...........We really weren't looking to get another kitten but she begged us to come look and take one. She really wanted this one (the one I got) for herself......but her husband wanted the one that they ended up taking. So of course when I saw the kitten I couldn't say no. There were 4 kittens in the litter and my family and myself took 3 of them (not sure who got the fourth- that one was already gone). My sister in law and mother in law each took one. They were from a private person- an accidental breeding from what I understood. I got him for free. It is my understanding that the mom is a Persian and I *THINK* dad might have been a siamese. I think that would make sense with the markings on him. He is super sweet and loves to cuddle on me............makes my heart melt.

Here are a few updated pictures of my little Mar-Mar. He is such a cutie and such a sweet sweet boy.

He now antagonizes the other kitties in the house. He is a little devil. As you can see in the pic he learned to get on my kitchen table by scaling the chairs! He was so funny one time after I had trimmed his nails he couldn't get up on the bed because he usually uses his razors to climb the comforter and kept falling. His face was so funny!! Very expressive little guy. I love him lots!!!

He loves to wake me up in the middle of the night with face washes- YUK!!!! I was petting him this morning about 3AM and he started purring up a storm and must have started drooling from all the purring he was doing. He started licking me and it was seriously like he was giving me a bath!

He is very pretty and gets tons of compliments from all who meet him. Hopefully it all doesn't go to his head lol.

Red point domestic longhair and he/she is adorable. Looks a bit Ragdoll looking in some ways. But it depends on the coat texture. Raggys have a more silky coat and Persian/Himi's have a more cotton fell to the coat.

Important thing to do is spay/neuter by 3-4 months old and start a grooming routing of combing him every day.

I agree, he does look like he has some Persian in him. He could also be a red point, but at the moment looks more like a cream point. Do you know what color the parents are? This could tell you if he is a he or she.
(My guess is that he is a boy).

He is a he
The mom is a pure white persian as far as I know. The woman showed me a quick picture on her cell phone of the mother when picked him up. It is believed the dad is a Siamese though I have no idea of color.

His fur is definitely more of a cotton feel. I have been getting him used to being groomed. He doesn't seem to mind too much. I've been using a comb on him though I have a few different grooming tools that one seems to work best. I also try to keep up with picking his eye boogers out. He doesn't like that too much but allows it.

Also, the fur in his ears is starting to get longer- sooo cute. He looks like some exotic bird or something with these tufts of hair sticking out of his ears lol. (se attached pic)

Also just wanted to add that yes- he will be getting neutered in the near future!!! My vet likes to do it when he's about 5 - 6 months old.
