I do! I moved into this apartment complex with the nicest set of neighbors. We spend lots of time by the pool. They have adopted me as the "older" divorcee who keeps dating guys on match.com.

This past Sunday night, one of the neighbors decided he wanted to BBQ for us (about 10 of us pool "regulars"). He makes us steak, marinated pork tenderloin, hamburgers and hot dogs and salad. People brought beer and cheese cake. Me? I brought the steak knives and other cutlery and condiments.

I think I made out in that deal.

I really love this place and my neighbors. What about you?

I love the park where I live and the majority of my neighbors, but I'm getting tired of living in my tiny trailer.

Well, next time you have a cookout like that, invite me over!

Honestly I'm very happy where I live. We had to let our house go (built it 3 years ago) because hours were cut and we just couldn't keep up with the mortgage so we let the bank take it, declared bankruptcy, and are now living in MIL's old house. Now, this one isn't "old" old (I grew up in a house that was built right after the civil war), but it has character. That is what we both missed in the house we built. It was a double-wide/modular and it was just too cookie cutter for both of us. I actually missed the fact that the floor didn't creak and groan when I walked. It was nice...for a while...but there wasn't enough room to put stuff and make it look good.

This house has SO much potential and we are saving to remodel it. MIL is still our closest neighbor and I love her to death so that's all good. The next closest neighbor's lights can be seen through the trees at night and we wave when he drives down the dirt road on his harley during the day.

I've done the dorm thing and the apartment living, and I like my privacy and would never go back. Glad it's working for you though...sounds like you are having a ball!

I LOVE where I live.
I live in a duplex owned by my aunt and uncle who live in the other side are are the best neighbours/landlords EVER. We hang out with them on the weekends and play games, have a few drinks, etc. We have a great backyard and are far enough out of the city to be nice and quiet yet it's not a terribly long drive to work.

Nope. I live in a rented condo. Neighbors real close on all 4 sides of the house as well as the neighbors in the building. It's always noisy. People let their dogs poop and just leave it to collect flies. I hate when I come out my door and into a mouthful of poopy flies....so gross....

I am hoping to move sometime in the next year. The guy who owns the condo is a liar and I don't trust him as far as I could throw him. Before he asks us to leave so he can move back in
(30 day lease-long story too) I want to take my time finding a place that will help me acheive my goal of paying down debt and is in a much quieter, cleaner area.

I would love to own a house but that is a few years off.....need to pay down debt first and get my credit in shape.

I love where I live! I love the city, the climate, the people, and our house and garden. When we visited Northern Ireland, it was so beautiful, but I kept thinking that home was just as pretty!

Down side is the high cost of everything here. We just took our new kitty Tophel for his rabies booster, feline leukemia shot, microchip, and bought a Feliway (Sparkle is having issues as usual), and it was over $220. Taxes alone were $23... crazy expensive here!

MommyCat and I finally bought a house nearly a year ago, and we love it! The whole area is great -- it's a pedestrian and pet-friendly older suburb, a much better environment than where we came from.

The house itself was a HUD foreclosure and a great deal for us. To say it needed and still needs work would be an understatement, but aside from the lack of air conditioning (which we're feeling lately) it's a very comfortable house. Above all, the cats love it. They have an enclosed front porch with plenty of window space for watching traffic and pedestrians, and a back patio with a big patio door where they can watch the birds, squirrels and chipmunks.

I wouldn't say I love it but I have lived here in NJ all my life and at my age don't want to move anywhere else. I love being close to everything so don't have to travel very far for anything. My family is here plus there is Russell so I'm as happy as one can be. I also don't really live in the city, the area I'm in is called more or less the suburbs tho it is has grown a lot over the years. The place where I was born in NJ is definitely the city with a lot more traffic and a lot more people.

I love being by the beaches. I have a great piece of property (1.56 acres) with a nice house on it, not too close to the hustle and bustle of Charleston, but not so far away I have to drive forever to do things. My house is wonderful, brand spanking new (had it built, finished in Jan 2009).

But I honestly would move to another state, preferably a more northern one, tomorrow if given the option and hubby would come with. He's been here since he was 5 and loves it, its pretty much all he's known residence-wise. I've been here for 5 years and would rather be where I'd lived since I was born (NW Jersey.)

I love it as much as I can love anything. Hated "owning" a house, and choose to take a bit of a beating on it renting it out, whilst living in an apartment.

The apartment itself would be sterling if it only faced the other way (west). I'm on the top (3rd) floor and get no breeze whatsoever in the summertime, and you can tell it makes things miserable for the babies when it's unbearably hot.

On a larger front, Jackson, Michigan is a cesspool.

I love my home. I live in my home town. I'm about 5 minutes from work. I have nice neighbors, and it's about a 10 minute walk to my parent's house. The only downside, is that I live on a rather busy street. The upside of that is it's one of the first streets in town to get plowed when it snows.

I hate where I live. I can't stand this town. My apartment isn't so bad but I would rather have a house. We are moving at the end of August and living with my mom for 1-2 months and then plan to rent a house for a year or two and then buy one. I can't wait to own my own house.

I like Pennsylvania.....I like the changing seasons and I like our mountains, too. Nothing flat around here, that's for sure.

But there are virtually no jobs here anymore. Many of the decent-paying jobs that offered decent benefits are gone. Our younger people seem to be leaving the area.....the brain drain.

And I'm ready to go, too. I have a good job. But DH's wages keep getting decreased, decreased, and then decreased more. Insurances and taxes and such keep increasing and there's not much we can do about it. I realize that, thanks to the economy tanking, everybody is pretty much in the same kayak right now.

But I was born in North Carolina and I'd like to move there. Our son and DIL are getting ready to move down and I would like nothing more than to move, too. I've always wanted to live in NC. And, at this point, there's virtually nothing to keep me here.

To say I hate Jacksonville, NC would be a huge understatement. It's ugly, it smells bad, and my neighbors hate me. Not because I have done anything, but because the woman that owns my house is the sister to everyone else on the street, and she rented out the house to strangers. They want us gone, even though we have lived here 5 years and the worst thing that any of my household has done is Fluffy peeked in her kitchen window and startled her. The mean woman tried to get a trap and get rid of her until her friend told her she was being stupid, that Fluffy was cute and harmless. She lets her retarded 15 year old son run around loose and walk right in to my house, but she gets mad about a little cat.
I like my job most of the time, but I can drive a cab anywhere, just plug in my GPS and I can get around fine.
I could go on forever about how much I hate this place.

I love my apartment, it's the biggest one we've ever had and the cats seem to love it too. They run up and down the hallway! LOL Our neighbors are quiet and it's a huge difference from my last apartment. The last place we lived at was a total nightmare. We had crazy tweaker neighbors who would scream and yell at all hours of the night. The cops were out there every day. I am so glad I live in a nicer place now.

I am originally from California around the Lake Tahoe area, now we are in Nevada and I have to say that I have hated this desert from the moment I stepped foot on it. I love my apartment, but hate the desert. Hopefully my husband and I will be able to relocate back to California soon.

58 years ago, I was born across the gully from where I live now. When I was 2, I used to holler across the gully to our old friends who lived here at the time. I was born here and this is where I will die. DH and I will be cremated and will be buried near our kitties under an old apple tree behind the barn.

My great grandfathers ashes are buried somewhere back in the woods. They also lived here years ago before I acquired it.

Its a pretty farm house on the banks of a creek. Down through the years we have remodeled it and repaired it. It will never be totally "finished". But it is my love. Sometimes, I just stop, and thank God for this old house. There are new homes on our road. Beautiful, big houses with manicured lawns. My floors are not straight. It is a challenge to hang wall paper as the walls are a bit out of plumb. The stairs creak. The windows are old and drafty, But they have wavy glass and I like that. The stairs creak. But then again, I creak too.

I am sure some people think I am a bit odd. When I used to work and had vacation time coming, the questions were "where are you going for your vacation?"

I would look at them with a smile and say "I am going home".

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
I like where I live, not the town itself because its becoming over run with druggies and skeezers! (Im sure youve heard about Sunbury Winchester!!
) But my area is perfect. We are right outside town where its quiet, we have quiet new neighbors, our landlord is amazing and Im far enough away from my mom that she doesnt stop by often! Its perfect. If I could just adjust one thing is that Id probably prefer a bigger trailer. It is perfect for us, we have a nice sized bedroom, the cats have their own room, we still manage to have a spare room that is full of everything we dont want out. The only things I want to change is a bigger kitchen with more cabinet space and counter space, a wider hallway and a bigger bathroom. But if that never happened Id be ok because I love our yard its so huge and its nice that even being right next to fields we never ever smell poop! That is the best!

I love, love, love my house! I just bought it 1.5 months ago and it is the perfect size for me, the cats LOVE the stairs, and the backyard is perfect for the puppy. I live in town and close to everything, including work. The only thing that would make my life better would be a new job, but hey, everything can't be perfect.
