A few days ago, my co-worker was late coming in to work. She complained that her long-haired cat, Lynx, had unplugged her alarm clock. It sounded a lot like "my dog ate my homework," but I humored her. The next day she was on time, but again insisted the cat was unplugging her clock. Yesterday, she had it on a video on her phone. It was a little hard to see because the room was pretty dark, but you could make out the cord plugged into the wall and then all of a sudden a large shape comes into view and a paw starts batting at the cord. Then it pops out of the outlet and the cat runs out of the picture!

That would not be a problem for me, as my cats are my alarm clock

This issue is all too familiar to me. I wish I could recommend a multi-outlet surge suppressor, but that only pushes the problem back. My cats are known for stepping on the master switch and turning off the entire thing! I don't know why these things aren't made with optional covers for those switches.

It got so bad, with the cats randomly turning off our computers, that when I built a desk for my wife I made a custom floor stand for the CPU and moved the power strip underneath it. No more paw-induced shutdowns!

Aha
Give her points for honesty
I think your co-worker should find one of those manual ones. Those can wake a zombie.

That sounds like Jamie - for a while he was unplugging our fridge, and he's never seen a button or switch he doesn't like!

That's too funny! We haven't needed an alarm clock since Katie arrived, she jumps on our bed and stands between hubby and my pillows at sunrise PURRRRRRING super loud until someone scratches her. Yep, she's a rooster cat

My phone cord is automatically unplugged by itself, OMG, it's paranormal! ...NOT.

It's soooo funny but cute

My friend's cat answers a phone by pressing the button.
What happens is, one of a light flashes when call comes in.
Her cat probably thinks that's a bug or something so he must pat.
One time, he actually answered a phone.
Right after the caller said "Hello?", he heard a response "meow".
