Good Morning All

So yesterday me and the better half went to our local hobbycraft as I wanted a scrapbook for putting all of our days out and holidays in, so after much looking about and no scrapbook from there I came away with some different craft magazines to help me find a new hobby

So my question today....

Are you good with arts and crafts? If you are what is it that you do?

I'm not incredibly crafty, but I do make some nice earrings and sell them to friends and family to help raise money for the local shelter.

I can crochet and also cross stitch but I havent done that in years. I just made my girls and mom beach bags for their trip and also made DarkMavis a blanket for G-Cats bed. Im currently procrastinately making myself my dishtowel set and finishing the blanket for the bed. Thankfully the blanket doesnt need to be done till winter when we use the extra blanket on the bed.

No, I can't do stuff like that at all. I just don't have the patience. I really admire people who can, and wish I could have crafty things that I've made around the house. I love to buy stuff at arts and crafts fairs!

Yep, somewhat crafty. I have done needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery, cut my own gemstones and made my own jewelry, and calligraphy.

I used to do a variety of crafts B.C. (Before Cats). Remember macrame? I made some nice plant hangers. I used to do a lot of ceramics, made my mom a pretty canister set, did a gorgeous 3-foot owl, and a lot of Christmas items. Some nice planters. I used to work with royal icing to make icing "balls" with a red velvet ribbon to hang on Christmas trees. Little icing Easter baskets, things like that.

I've done needlepoint and crewelwork. Some embroidery.

Don't know if this actually counts as a craft or a hobby or what, but B.C. (Before Cats), our house was filled from ceiling to floor with all different kinds of houseplants and trees. I love having plants in the house and we had everything one could think of.

But that was B.C. (Before Cats)!

I'm crafty. I draw, I sew stuffed animals, I patch stuff, I make necklaces, I knit... I have a large arsenal of artsy crafty parts of my personality!

I used to do some different crafts but right now I can never seem to find the time to finish any projects.

During our engagement I went back to origami and folded 1000 origami cranes, but I still haven't strung them together. Our 6 month anniversary is next week !!

I make jewelry.
I have taken silversmithing and lapidary, and I have sold quite a few pieces I've made.

Yes, even if I don't have a lot of time any more to do them. I enjoy painting and clay pottery stuff - mainly painting/drawing.

My "dream" is to have time to do a wall murel in our basement. I've never painted on a wall before but have ideas of what I want - its a nature scene that is half above ground and half underwater (love to do dolphins/fish paintings). I'm thinking of maybe making part as a 3-D thing - like the rocks in the water part.

My DIL painted a wall mural in my grandson's room when he was first born. It depicts the lion with the lamb. And it's just gorgeous.

I am, indeed, crafty. I used to be a cross-stitch-aholic but my eyes just won't co-operate anymore. I made quilts, I paint, I sew, I love working with wood. I'm into "prims"---grungy sewn items that I sell at a local crafts/antiques mall. I've always been a crafty person, even making my own candles and batik hangings in grade school. (guess I was something of a hippie, too
)
