Helping Older Cats Adjust to New Kittens

So we finally have Moe home.....sweet little boy, 6 months old..love him!!! The other cats dont mind him and have actually welcomed their new naked brother..its my beloved Zee having issues *sigh* He hisses and chases Moe, growls and now he even ignores me

I am hoping this will pass, but in the meantime I worry for Moe and it hurts my feelings that my mamas boy is so angry with me.

I have been keeping Moe seperated, letting him out for supervised time. I know better than to throw a new kitten into the colony without introductions.
I guess what Im looking for is a "oh it will be fine Anita"

Oh, it will be fine Anita!

I have three, Jack was 12 and had been a solitary cat for 5 years before we brought home Lily, and then a year later we added Boo. Jack was not overjoyed, but after asserting himself and making it clear who was boss, they sorted themselves out and coexist peacefully most of the time.

You should keep an eye on things to make sure that they don't get out of hand, but the aggression from Zee shouldn't last too long and he'll be back to being your loving boy. I'm a firm believer in interfering as little as possible in cat relationships.
