With my numbers, and how much is spent on the pets (food, supplies, etc) - I started considering getting a credit card where I would get rewards for the money I'm spending on them.

I'm just beginning to look into credit cards that offer "points" for each dollar spent on pet supplies. I've been Googling all day, reading reviews, pros & cons.....everyone has their opinion, so I'm reading it! I came across several sites mentioning a Pet Rewards Visa card, but I don't think that one is still on the market/available. Drs. Foster & Smith has a Visa card, but I don't order much through them.

I'm very careful about spending & not carrying a balance. I figured this would be an OK place to ask if anyone else has a pet rewards card, and what they think of it.

You'd be better off carefully comparing interest and any annual fees, then picking one out with an extra option than working backwards. Always be careful of any fees on it.

I have a cashback credit card, I get a % on all grocery store purchases and then a lower % on all other purchases but they waived the fee and the interest rate was lower than my old card so it worked out best. perhaps look into those rather than just pet ones?

Not much help since our banks are different, but depending on how much you spend on it, be careful of points ones since they often have annual fees or higher rates to make up for it

Not really what you are asking, but are you a member of MyPoints.com? If you access the pet sites through their sites and order, you get "points" for your purchase and can trade them in for gift cards, etc. I don't order a ton through their site, but still have managed to get over $500 in Home Depot gift cards over the years. Soem of the pet sites are hooked up with them.

I'm not Karen, but I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the idea!

I'm normally very leery of things like that, but so far I have had no problems.
