My husband likes to brew beer (and melt the stove in the process
). He has one going right now, an IPA, that he is thinking of entering in a contest. Of course, that depends on how it comes out.

He's looking for suggestions for a name. I suggested Cat's A$$ IPA, which isn't overly family freindly and also Hot Stove IPA, which he said is a baseball term.

Got any ideas?

These are associated with your lovely NEW stove being burned. lol
It would be an inside joke between you.

First Degree Pale
Franklin Pale ... (for the first patented all metal stove by B Franklin)
1735 Pale (first enclosed fire stove)

If he's going to brew different types maybe he can use different breeds/ colorings?

Like Tomcat Tabby IPA?

Hubby brews his own too, good luck to yours in the contest!

As for naming a beer... hmm... gotta think. What type(s) of hops is he using?
I asked and he said they are all American hops.

I don't drink beer.

Thank for the suggestions.
Keep them coming. He's also very into weather.

How about stove melting IPA?

My hubby also brews beer and he's had "Twig beer" He's had "Ruddy Red Rocket IPA" He's had all different names, but I like the cat named ones just because I love my cats!

I'm trying to talk him into more beers where he can use the other cats names.

A variation on the OPs first idea....Cat's Butt IPA. I personally can't stand IPAs. I'll drink a Bud before an IPA anyday and Bud is pretty bad...

Well I'm more of a porter or stout girl, but what about "Heat Low IPA" (Just to get a weather reference. )

Well, in keeping with the weather theme, how about Pot of Gold beer as in at the end of the rainbow?

For the cat them, how about The Cat's Meow Brew?
