No they're not. Do further digging.
Take #17, how can you prove something that an animal doesn't actually do is true? #18, there's a heck of a lot more birds than just a parrot.

21. It better not be paint in the commercials where people are drinking it - in many commercials like that it's a weird yogurt or ice cream mixture.

#5 Is a myth. Though the pressure does affect your baroreflexes that control rate and your blood pressure (you can induce this same response ala valsalva maneuver).

And the list goes on with several of them that way, many many myths.

LOL
That really amuses me for some reason. You can find a lot of them debunked on Snopes. Even #20 was wrong.

#24 is not true. I've worked a lot of labor & delivery, and the umbilical cord generally goes straight into the red trash bag. I doubt very much that anybody is digging through that to pull out stuff to sell.

It should, because it's not true. (read GoldyCat's post). The only time they're reused is when they're donated for that use.

People will believe some pretty crazy stuff.
That last one about coke - I've seen it made. It's not green. I wonder if anyone remembers the Crystal Pepsi?

I disagree with #2 - EVERY mammal born has a belly button - even if its a cesecrian birth - So he has to have one - at least he was BORN with one!

He may have had abdominal surgery and the belly button was cut out for some reason. But you're right, he was certainly born with one.

I had a student who didn't have one, and really never did. Quite an extreme birth defect.

I think LaRussa unintentionally did something very good with this thread. It got a few people looking stuff up!
And as GoldenKitty said, you learn something new everyday.

There is no way all of these are true......example-

16. Most of us have eaten a spider in our sleep.

I would have known if this had happened.......spiders do not touch me, or I will die of heart attack! It does say most of us, but I question this scientific study has ever been done...........

Here's a bit on snopes about the 8 spiders per year (different, but proves a point). Rather neat that the person intentionally made up a false "fact" list and people believe it.
