I noticed her panting while nursing the kittens and we just figured she was hot. (Temp outside over 100) We put up misters to improve the cooling power of the A/C.

I now thing she is over stressed and want to get a filiway plug in. I do a search and find out there are two kinds one by Farnum and one by VPL!!!! Which one is the best???

I want to order it tonight so as to stop the stress she is going through. This is her first litter and she is really upset.

Put her in a dark quiet room with plenty of water and dim lighting. If you have classical music play that for her low all night.

Is it possible she might have a retained kitten? Is she lethargic in any way, bleeding or acting off?

The Farnum is the original plug in- the other a knock off. I would go with the original

Thanks M.A.

I just ordered three. We moved her into our room and hope she will calm down. I will keep things quiet as possible.

We took her to the vet right after she had the babies and they said she is OK and nothing retained. She is still chunky, but is eating like a horse and drinking OK. I haven't seen her use the litter box yet...

I will keep you posted and will post pictures of the new babies in a few days. At least they are gaining weight and feisty.
